Liechtenstein are 206th team on the FIFA World Ranking List and have never reached any major tournament. That will hardly change any time soon, considering they are one of the worst national teams in the World. In the last UEFA Nations League campaign, they proved that as they finished last in a group with San Marino and Gibraltar! In the WC Qualifiers, they, expectedly, lost all eight games with a devastating goal difference of 0:31. Scoring a goal for this team is a success itself, which says a lot about them.

Interestingly, the team is without their captain and vice-captain from the previous period - Nicolas Hasler and Benjamin Büchel. The duo is among the oldest players on the team and will skip these friendlies in June. 

Cyprus are number 126 on the FIFA World Ranking List. Like Liechtenstein, they have never appeared in any major tournaments but are still a significantly better team than Liechtenstein. In the previous period, they had some solid results like winning eight points in eight rounds in the WC Qualifiers, securing draws with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania. They have also played in UEFA Nations League C and finished 3rd, securing their place in League C for next season as well. So, even though their FIFA Ranking is far from good, Cyprus are doing a solid job, and the improvement is evident. 

After a 1:1 draw with Slovenia, coach Apostolos Mantzios spoke to the media. He was pleased with the performance and the result, especially considering they earned a draw away from home and played with ten men for a large part of the game. The coach praised the team for their mentality and the defensive organization.
