The Premier League is the most popular in the world, showcasing many of the world’s best players. Each season delivers endless drama and highly unpredictable moments, and the 2025-26 campaign will provide yet more unmissable happenings each weekend.
With such unpredictability and excitement, it can be tough to predict the outcome; however, MightyTips’ experts have put together their Premier League predictions ahead of the forthcoming season, which gets underway at the beginning of August.
Today, you can find the latest betting tips on the competition that is widely regarded as the ‘Best League in the World’, so keep reading to see who we are predicting for success this time around.
2024-25 winners Liverpool have been priced up as the favourites for the title by the bookmakers. The Reds enjoyed a tremendous first season under Arne Slot, and when it comes to a Premier League title prediction, it’s difficult to look beyond the Merseysiders.
Maintaining the talismanic Mo Salah looks to be key to Liverpool’s chance of success this season, whereas the additions of Milos Kerkez and Bundesliga-winner Jeremie Frimpong will add depth to the full-back positions. Florian Wirtz is another good signing for Slot’s side, and they will also have the added advantage of not having featured at this summer’s Club World Cup.
Arsenal fell short again last season, and Mikel Arteta has reshaped his squad this summer. It’s been over two decades since the Gunners lifted the Premier League title, and they will need Martin Zubimendi to hit the ground running in defensive midfield. Arteta will also need Martin Odegaard to stay injury-free; however, the squad still looks like it may struggle to successfully juggle domestic activity and European football.
There has been little time to rest for Manchester City, who exited the Club World Cup at the end of June. Pep has started to reshape his squad with some exciting additions, including Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan and Lyon’s Rayan Cherki. Omar Marmoush will be expected to have an excellent season, having been given time to acclimatise to the English top flight.
We expect City to push Liverpool all the way, with the Reds just edging out their rivals in the final few weeks.
Our Premier League winner prediction: Liverpool
With Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal all expected to occupy the top three spots, it leaves just one position left to fill.
There is very little between Chelsea and Newcastle in the betting market, with both sides leading the way for Champions League qualification. The Blues will have a shortened summer due to the Club World Cup, and that may result in a slow start to the season. Newcastle are fun to watch under Eddie Howe and will score plenty of goals.
Although they’ve been slow in the transfer market this summer, they have ample money to spend, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them make some strong January additions if things aren’t going to plan.
Aston Villa will need to adhere to financial restrictions this season, and playing Thursday nights in the Europa League is far from ideal. Manchester United are fairly prominent in the betting; however, they are unlikely to improve enough to break into the top four.
We’d expect Chelsea’s squad to be strong enough across the duration of the season to edge out their rivals and secure a top-four spot.
Top 4 prediction: Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea
For those who don’t possess enough quality or squad depth to reach the Champions League, finishing in the Europa League spots is the ultimate prize. Last season, Crystal Palace were the unlikely recipients of this, alongside the sixth-place finishers Aston Villa.
Villa are fancied to finish in the Europa League spots once again; however, they will face stiff competition from Spurs, who are likely to be far more efficient under new boss Thomas Frank. The Dane is a popular manager and has a good record of improving players. Having finished 17th under his predecessor, Frank won’t face too much of a challenge to get his team fighting at the right end of the table.
Manchester United are priced up favourably by the bookmakers, although there are still big questions about whether their squad is good enough. Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth are also in with a shout according to the betting market, with the Seagulls likely to improve under Fabian Hurzeler. Bournemouth have been raided this summer, and the Cherries must find a way to replace their outgoing stars.
Back Spurs to drastically improve under the new management and secure a Europa League spot, alongside an improving Brighton.
Top 6 prediction: Liverpool. Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Brighton
The Conference League places are likely to be handed to the team who finishes seventh alongside the EFL Cup winners, although qualification for the competition will still be required for the latter.
Once again, Aston Villa, Spurs and Manchester United are all odds-on to finish inside the top seven, which leaves Brighton, Crystal Palace, Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham as potential contenders.
It might be worth looking at the Cottagers as a potential outside for this position, with Marco Silva’s men enjoying plenty of continuity this summer. With very few outgoings and a settled playing squad, they could easily sneak into the 2026-27 Europa Conference League. It’s been a long time since this set of West Londoners enjoyed any European adventures, but this could prove to be their long-awaited return.
Top 7 prediction: Liverpool. Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Brighton, Fulham
It’s always a scrap at the bottom with all of the struggling teams fighting to avoid a return to the Championship. In each of the last two seasons, all three of the promoted sides have been relegated straight back to the second tier, without much resistance. There was a 13-point gap between the bottom three and the remainder of the teams last season, meaning that Burnley, Leeds and Sunderland have their work cut out this time around.
Sunderland have added Enzo Le Fee on a permanent basis, Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki, increasing their strength-in-depth, whereas Burnley have gained some much-needed experience in the form of Kyle Walker. Leeds have been priced up as the favourites to beat the drop, but their squad still lacks quality, with questions still surrounding Daniel Farke’s tactical nous in the top flight.
Sadly, it’s hard to see any of these newcomers managing to beat the drop.
Bottom three teams prediction: Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley
The Premier League features many of the most prolific players in the world, all of whom will be competing to finish as the division’s top goalscorer in 2025-26.
Erling Haaland is a very short-priced favourite to outscore his peers this season and will undoubtedly bag a few goals for a rampant Manchester City. The Norwegian is a natural finisher; however, our EPL top goalscorer prediction will focus on his teammate Omar Marmoush. The 26-year-old scored eight times during the second half of the season and should be able to carry on where he left off. If Alexander Isak can stay fit, he should be able to score at least 20 times for Newcastle and Liam Delap should be pivotal for Chelsea.
Mo Salah is always likely to be there or thereabouts, whereas Ollie Watkins and Cole Palmer will also contribute heavily. As a potential outsider, Heung-Min Son could spring into life under Thomas Frank, and Jean-Phillipe Mateta is unlikely to miss many games for Crystal Palace.
Top Goalscorer prediction: Omar Marmoush and Alexander Isak.
The Premier League season gets underway in mid-August and concludes at the end of May. There are 20 teams competing in the top flight, and each side will face one another twice across the course of the campaign, once at home and once away, a total of 38 matchdays.
Most matchdays take place at the weekend with games typically divided between Saturday, Sunday and Monday, although the league does occasionally host a Friday night fixture. There are five midweek matchdays scheduled throughout the season, with the first set taking place in early December.
The Premier League have scrapped their winter break, and fixtures will take place across the festive period, including a handful of games scheduled for Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. This is a fantastic time of year for making PL predictions, with the games coming thick and fast and many teams being asked to play three times in the space of eight days.
At the other end of the table, the bottom three sides will be relegated to the Championship. If two sides finish on the same number of points, positions will be determined by goal difference. If this isn’t possible, it will revert to goals scored followed by the head-to-head record of the two teams during the regular season.
Betting sites now offer more Premier League markets than ever before, so our football betting tips cover a vast range of betting options. Our experts will explore numerous markets before settling on their eventual picks.
This is the simplest of all the markets and involves predicting the result of the match. There are three possible outcomes here: home win, draw or away win. You will get far better prices if you back the game to end in a draw, with home teams often priced up shorter due to the perceived ‘home advantage’.
Also known as the moneyline, this is the most straightforward option and tends to be popular when it comes to assembling accumulators.
This is another popular market and our team always enjoys finding Premier League BTTS predictions each weekend. With the number of top-flight goals having increased over the last few seasons, the both teams to score odds have significantly decreased; however, MightyTips’ experts dig deep to uncover the value in this market, analysing head-to-heads, recent form and key team news to make their selections.
Another popular option is the over 2.5 goals market. Premier League matches averaged 2.93 goals during the 2024-25 season, which encouraged our experts to increase the threshold to over 3.5 goals on several occasions. This market is an excellent way to wager if you’re hoping for a thoroughly entertaining high-scoring contest, whilst it's also ideal if you’re struggling to predict the outcome on the 1X2 market.
Although this market doesn’t tend to be quite as popular due to the sheer number of potential outcomes, it can be a highly lucrative option for bettors to explore, with the potential for high returns and generous odds. Our experts may target potentially low-scoring games, covering the 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 or 1-1 markets, or plump for something a little more exotic such as a 2-2, which landed in over 8% of all Premier League games during the 2024-25 season.
Accumulators are always popular with Premier League fans, with the potential to return significant sums for a small outlay. Our experts enjoy putting together accumulator bets and will find the best value options for your multiple bet. Premier League accumulators may focus on one single day (Saturday or Sunday) or may potentially cover the entire matchday, ensuring that only the best selections are included.
Here at MightyTips, our Premier League accumulators tend to cover an array of different markets; however, they have been meticulously devised by our team.
