Pereira vs Gane: Odds and prediction for UFC Freedom 250 in the White House

By Klimentijs Konevs | Published: May 16, 2026, 10:00

The legendary UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House is now only a month away, and the card is stacked. The co-main event will see Alex Pereira fight Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title. Poatan is trying to make UFC history by becoming the first fighter to win titles in three different weight divisions.

Gane has already fought the current heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, but that bout ended in a no-contest after the Englishman suffered an eye injury early in the fight. Gane now gets another opportunity to place himself at the top of the division. The fight is scheduled for June 15 at 05:30 CET. Take a look at our Pereira vs Gane prediction, where we analyse the fighters' recent form, break down the betting odds, and give our prediction for this massive heavyweight showdown.

Pereira vs Gane odds

As of now, the only available betting lines are for the outright winner of the fight. Both Pereira and Gane are priced at 1.90, which makes this one of the most intriguing matchups on the entire UFC Freedom 250 card. We have never seen Pereira compete at heavyweight before, but everyone knows the kind of power he carries. Gane, meanwhile, looked sharp in the opening moments of his title fight against Tom Aspinall before the bout was stopped due to an eye poke.

Fighter statistics

The Brazilian currently looks enormous while preparing for this fight, and physically, he should have no problems making the move up in weight. Both fighters are almost identical in height, with Gane holding only a slight edge at 6'5" compared to Pereira's 6'4". Bon Gamin also owns a small reach advantage, which could become important during striking exchanges between two elite kickboxers.

Alex Pereira - fighter analysis

It is honestly crazy how quickly Pereira established himself as one of the UFC's all-time greats. He made his debut in the promotion only five years ago, yet he has already become champion in two divisions and has stayed extremely active throughout that entire run.

At light-heavyweight, Pereira looked like an absolute machine. He knocked out Jamahal Hill, stopped Jiri Prochazka twice, and also finished Khalil Rountree Jr.. Although he lost the belt to Magomed Ankalaev by decision, Poatan quickly reclaimed the title and handed Ankalaev the second loss of his professional MMA career.

Pereira's vicious left hook almost feels impossible to survive once it lands clean. Few fighters in UFC history have carried this level of knockout power. However, moving up to heavyweight is a completely different challenge. There are real questions about whether Pereira will keep the same pace, movement, and stamina against naturally bigger opponents.

Pereira's last fights

Date Opponent Result
04.10.2025 Magomed Ankalaev Won by TKO (punches and elbows) - 1:20, R1
08.03.2025 Magomed Ankalaev Lost by decision (unanimous)
05.10.2024 Khalil Rountree Jr. Won by TKO (punches) - 4:32, R4
29.06.2024 Jiří Procházka Won by TKO (head kick and punches) - 0:13, R2
13.04.2024 Jamahal Hill Won by KO (punches) - 3;14, R1

Ciryl Gane - fighter analysis

Gane brings a slick Muay Thai background into MMA and moves nothing like a typical heavyweight. He is fast, technical, and incredibly light on his feet for a fighter of his size, which has made him one of the most difficult heavyweights to deal with in striking exchanges.

Over the years, Gane has also built a very strong resume. He did suffer a painful loss to Jon Jones in just over two minutes during their vacant heavyweight title fight in 2023, but bounced back impressively with victories over Serghei Spivac and Alexander Volkov.

We only saw four and a half minutes of Gane's fight against Aspinall before it ended in a no-contest, but to be fair, the Frenchman looked excellent early on. He was landing clean shots, controlling the striking exchanges, and arguably dominating the fight before it was stopped.

Gane’s last fights

Date Opponent Result
25.10.2025 Tom Aspinall No contest (accidental eye poke) - 4:35, R1
07.12.2024 Alexander Volkov Won by decision (split)
02.09.2023 Serghei Spivac Won by TKO (punches) - 3:44, R2
04.03.2023 Jon Jones Lost by submission (guillotine choke) - 2:04, R1
03.09.2022 Tai Tuivasa Won by KO (punches) - 4:23, R3

Pereira vs Gane prediction

It is still hard to imagine that Pereira used to cut down to 185 pounds earlier in his UFC career, and now he is preparing to fight men who naturally live around the heavyweight limit. That size difference matters, especially against someone like Gane. The Frenchman fights nothing like the opponents Pereira destroyed at 205 pounds. He constantly moves laterally, controls distance with feints and jabs, and stays extremely calm under pressure.

He is also one of the more durable heavyweights in the division, having absorbed powerful shots from guys like Francis Ngannou, without ever being knocked out by strikes.

Pereira will always be dangerous early because one clean left hook can instantly end the fight. However, if Gane survives the opening rounds and keeps his composure, the fight could slowly start shifting in his favour. We still expect Pereira to have dangerous moments throughout the fight, but the longer it goes, the more it starts to favour Gane. Our prediction is that Gane will either win a decision or find a late finish.
