Portugal U20 vs Canada U20 prediction 11.06.2026 | Maurice Revello tournament

Portugal U20 were excellent this year at the Maurice Revello tournament. They collected seven points in the first three matches and are only one point behind the group leader, Ivory Coast U20. However, Africans have already played all four games, and Portugal U20 will have an opportunity to top the standings if they don't lose to Canada U20 on Thursday evening. 

After only a 0-0 with Ivory Coast U20 in the second game of the tournament, Portugal U20 returned to the right track with a 3-1 victory against Venezuela U20 in the previous outing. The South Americans scored early in the first half, but Oceano's team dominated the rest of the game and secured another victory. 

Portugal U20 have a few players who could have solid careers and futures in the best national team. Surely the biggest talent is winger Fabio Balde. He appeared in 16 matches for Hamburg SV last season. According to the rumors, Sporting CP, Benfica, Porto, and Club Brugge are interested in the youngster. The other interesting talents in the team are Rafael Nel (Sporting CP), Joao Rego (Benfica), and Mathys de Carvalho (Lyon). 

This summer, Canada U20 will compete in the CONCACAF U20 Championship, and they are using the Maurice Revello tournament as preparation for their main event. After an opening victory against Venezuela U20, Canada U20 lost to Japan U20 and Ivory Coast U20 and are out of the chance to progress to the final. 

In the most recent outing, in a 2-1 defeat against Ivory Coast U20, Canada U20 was completely outplayed, and the opponents could easily have scored a few more times. Ivory Coast U20 finished with an xG of 4.03 and will have to do much better on Thursday evening if they want any chance of avoiding defeat. 

Canada U20 doesn't have any superstars in the making in their squad. Probably the best player on the team is the right-back Aleksandr Guboglo (Montreal). He didn't play much in MLS this season, but he should have a solid future on that level. Also, interesting players in Canada U20 are Antoni Klukowski (Polonia Warsaw), Shola Jimoh (Inter Toronto), and Sergey Kozlovskiy (Atletico Ottawa).
