Norway U21 vs Finland U21 prediction 08.06.2026 | Friendly match

Although Norway have grown into one of the most interesting teams, their U21 squad rarely appears at the European Championship. Interestingly, Norway U21 played in only one of the previous five tournaments. However, that could easily change soon, as Jan Peder Jalland's team is at the top of the current qualifying group with five points more than the next teams in the standings, Israel U21 and Bosnia and Herzegovina U21. 

Norway U21 played well recently. They were on a three-game winning streak before Jalland's team lost 2-0 on the road to Slovenia in their most recent outing. Even in that game, Norway U21 played solid enough, but they lacked their usual efficiency. 

Norway U21 have a few excellent talents in their team. 19-year-old Sindre Walle Egeli, who has scored four goals for Ipswich this season, is a future superstar. Also, excellent careers should have Sverre Nypan (Manchester City), Jens Hjerto-Dahl (Tromso), and Eivind Helland (Bologna). All of them could develop into world-class players. 

Finland U21 have played at only two European Championships so far. After the appearance last year, they are on a good course as Finland U21 are second in their group and could play in the playoffs. Mika Lehkosuo's team has been excellent lately, with five games in a row without defeat. A few days ago, Finland won 3-1 on the road in a friendly against Sweden U21. That was another high-scoring game for one of the best attacking teams in all of the qualifications. 

Finland U21 doesn't have a huge talent on their team. However, they have a few interesting players. Probably the best is Djurgarden's midfielder Matias Siltanen. He played almost every minute for his team this season. The interesting prospect is also Otso Liimata, who scored two goals for Halmstads this season.
