Last season was one of the worst in Manchester United's history, as they finished 15th on the table. This year, the Red Devils again invested a lot in the team, but Rubin Amorim's team collected only four points from the opening four league rounds. Last weekend, Manchester United lost 3-0 on the road against Manchester City. However, although Amorim's team lost heavily, they didn't look completely hopeless as they ended with an xG of 1.52 and probably deserved to score at least once. 

With four points in the first four league matches, Manchester United have the worst start in the last 33 years, and there is a big question about Rubin Amorim's future in the club. The board recently announced that they will remain patient with the manager, but if things don't improve, the change is inevitable. 

Manchester United doesn't have a long list of missing players. Lisandro Martinez is out for Saturday, while Mason Mount, Diogo Dalot, and Matheus Cunha are questionable, and their status will be clearer closer to the kickoff. 

After two weaker years, Chelsea returned to the best four Premier League teams last season and are ambitious to get even closer to the best teams. Chelsea opened the competition with two wins and two draws. Last weekend, they surely expected more than a draw against Brentford. A bad result was followed by an even worse, 3-1 defeat in Munich against Chelsea in the Champions League opening round. Cole Palmer returned to the starting lineup after fully recovering from a groin injury, but the home side was too good.

Chelsea lost on Wednesday in Munich, but the manager Enzo Maresca wasn't completely disappointed. He said, "In this competition against this team, you have to be fully focused to play like that for 95 minutes. I think we played good but not for the entire game."

Chelsea have problems with injuries at the start of the new season. They will be without Dario Levi Colwill, Liam Delap, Benoit Badiashile, Romeo Lavia, and Dario Essugo on Saturday at Old Trafford.
