St. Patrick's vs Drogheda prediction 12.06.2026 | Premier Division

St. Patrick's are again among the best teams in Ireland. They are eight points behind the league leader, Shamrock Rovers, but fighting for a spot behind them seems pretty realistic. However, St. Patrick's struggled with consistency lately. They have won only once in the last six matches. In the most recent outing, the Saints lost 1-0 on the road against Shamrock Rovers. The hosts scored early, so the guests seemed like a better team in the rest of the game, but their attack was impotent, and they couldn't find the net. 

St. Patrick's manager, Stephen Kenny, was disappointed after a defeat in the previous match. He said that he wasn't happy with the attacking play. Also, Kenny commented that there is no excuse to lose against Shamrock Rovers for the third time this season. 

St. Patrick's doesn't have big problems with missing players. Simon Power will not play on Friday due to injury, while the goalkeeper Joseph Anang is with the Ghana national team at the World Cup.

Since Drogheda returned to the Premier Division in 2021, they have always been a bottom-half team, and that shouldn't change this season, either. After 19 league rounds, Drogheda are only two points ahead of the relegation playoff zone. Although they also have problems with consistency, it is encouraging that Drogheda lost only three of the last eight matches. In the previous game, they played 3-3 at home against Waterford. Drogheda have much bigger problems with unavailable players than their next opponent ahead of Friday. Ryan Brennan and Leo Burney picked up their fifth yellow cards in the previous Premier Division tie and will serve suspensions against St. Patrick's. Also, Drogheda will be without Owen Lambe, Conor Keeley, Scott Brady, Bridel Bosakani, and James Bolger, while Warren Davis is questionable and his status will be clearer closer to the kickoff.
