West Ham return to home comforts after a painful 3:0 defeat against local rivals Brentford last weekend. In a hugely frustrating contest, the Hammers hit the woodwork three times but were unable to find a breakthrough as the Bees eased to victory at Brentford Community Stadium.

The Hammers had been in decent form before that defeat, with only one defeat recorded in eight previous fixtures.

However, despite their uptick in performance levels this year, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have dropped back into the relegation zone. West Ham now trail Spurs by one point with just three EPL fixtures still to play.

Head coach Santo has a fully-fit squad to choose from this weekend. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is among those who could earn a recall to the first XI.

Arsenal make the short trip to the London Stadium in high spirits after their 1:0 Champions League victory against Atletico Madrid earlier this week. Bukayo Saka’s goal shortly before the interval secured a place in the final for the first time since 2006. 

The Gunners have enjoyed an excellent week, with a comfortable 3:0 win against Fulham last weekend moving them to within touching distance of a first Premier League title in over 20 years. Mikel Arteta’s side now sit five points clear of Man City, albeit having played one game more. 

After a sticky run of results, three wins in their last four games looks to have restored the Gunners belief ahead of their remaining fixtures. 

Arsenal should also take plenty of confidence from their two most recent visits to the London Stadium. The Gunners claimed a 6:0 win in 2024, before a 5:2 victory last season. 

Head coach Arteta has just two injury issues to deal with this weekend. Jurriën Timber (muscle) is ruled out through injury, while Myles Lewis-Skelly is doubtful due to a knock picked up in Tuesday’s Champions League victory.
