Lazio vs Inter prediction 09.05.2026 | Serie A

Lazio return to Rome in high spirits after picking up a 2:1 road win at Cremonese last weekend. Gustav Isaksen bagged his fifth goal of the season before Tijjani Noslin’s stoppage-time strike secured the points for Maurizio Sarri`s side. 

I Biancocelesti have found a higher level of performance in recent months, picking up five wins and losing just one of their last ten matches.

Highlights include an impressive away victory at Napoli and a home win against AC Milan. Lazio also avoided defeat in two meetings with Atalanta, including a penalty shootout triumph in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Head coach Sarri has four injury concerns this weekend. Alessio Furlanetto (ligament), Ivan Provedel (shoulder) and Mario Gila (thigh) are ruled out through injury, while Danilo Cataldi is doubtful to feature.

Inter come into Saturday’s Serie A contest after securing the title with a comfortable 2-0 win against Parma last weekend. Goals from Marcus Thuram (45+1') and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (80') ensured celebrations at San Siro.

Cristian Chivu’s side have been in solid form in the past couple of months, picking up five wins and four draws from their last ten matches. Inter now have a 12 point advantage at the top of Serie A with their third title in six seasons already secured.

While usually solid in defence, Inter have shown some vulnerabilities in recent weeks. I Nerazzurri conceded two goals or more in four of their last six matches, while six of their last eight games finished with both teams on the scoresheet. 

Nine of 12 previous meetings between these sides in Serie A also finished with BTTS landing, although Inter did claim a remarkable 6:0 win when they last faced Lazio at the Olimpico last season. 

Head coach Chivu has a strong squad available this weekend, but may look to rotate his selection ahead of the Coppa Italia final next Wednesday. Francesco Pio Esposito is the only injury worry for the Serie A champions.
