TPS vs KuPS prediction 17.06.2026 | Veikkausliiga

After six years in the lower tier, TPS returned to Veikkausliiga. Their primary goal is to avoid relegation, but after a very good 15 points in the first ten league rounds, it seems that Ivan Pinol's team is capable of much more. However, the last few weeks were tough for TPS, as they lost four of the last five matches in all competitions. In the most recent outing, Pinol's team lost 1-0 on the road against Ilves. The guests were solid in that match, especially in the second half, but the hosts' better efficiency was enough to leave TPS empty-handed. 

TPS's biggest problems in the last few weeks were in the attack. They have scored only two goals in their last five matches and need to do better. In the same period, TPS conceded only five goals, but without a better attack, it is hard to secure more victories. 

TPS are one of the best home teams in Veikkausliiga with a 4-1-0 record and a 7:2 goal difference. With Pinol's team struggling lately, playing in Turku should give TPS a good chance to get back on the right track.     

TPS could have a full squad on Wednesday. The only one under question is Theodoros Tsirigotis. 

KuPS have won two Veikkusliiga trophies in the last two seasons, and most pundits see them as one of the main candidates for another championship title this year, too. However, after 12 league rounds, KuPS are four points behind the league leader, Inter Turku. Miika Nuutinen's team has had problems lately, as they are winless in the last three matches in all competitions. In the previous game, KuPS played 1-1 on the road against VPS. Nuutinen's team finished with 59% ball possession and 15 shots on the goal more than the opponent, but still secured only one point. 

Like TPS, KuPS have also had problems with attacks lately. They scored only three goals in the last four matches. The summer transfer window is approaching, and it would not be surprising if KuPS added another striker to boost their offense. 

KuPS have serious issues with missing players. Valentin Roman Gasc and Brahima Magassa will serve suspensions on Wednesday, while Calvin Kabuye, Samuel Pasanen, and Jerry Voutilainen are injured.
