St. Liege vs Charleroi prediction 31.10.2025 | Jupiler Pro League

St. Liege came to this season after a super strange one last year. They did OK through the regular season, securing the Conference League Playoffs, but then completely collapsed in the CL Playoffs, finishing the competition with a 0-7-3 w/d/l record. Since those are the teams from seventh to 12th place in Belgium, we can safely say they heavily underperformed. This year, even though it is still early, it seems that securing the Conference League Playoffs is their maximum. Right now, after 12 rounds, they are in 11th place with 14 points - closer to the Relegation Group than the Championship one. 

In the previous game vs Beveren in the Cup, defender Nayel Mehssatou Sepulveda suffered an injury and had to leave the field after only 28 minutes. However, he is only a backup option, and his absence shouldn't be a significant factor. 

Charleroi also finished the last season in the Conference League Playoffs, but unlike St. Liege, they were magnificent there, easily securing the ECL Qualifiers. Unfortunately, they were eliminated from the Qualifiers in the second round (their first) by Hammarby, on a 2:1 aggregate. This year, the popular Zebras have been really inconsistent and are sitting in 10th place with 15 points in 12 rounds - only one point away from their next opponent, St. Liege. 

In the previous game against RDC Liege (second tier), coach Rik De Mil rotated the squad, trying to rest his key players for the Jupiler Pro League games. However, that almost backfired as they managed to win only 1:0, scoring a goal in the 90th minute.
