Monaco vs Lille prediction 10.05.2026 | Ligue 1

Monaco maintained their hopes of European qualification with a vital 2:1 win at Metz last weekend. Trailing to Jessy Deminguet’s second-half strike, Monaco showed plenty of heart with goals from Folarin Balogun (61) and Ansu Fati (91) secured a priceless road win for Les Rouge et Blancs.

Before that victory, Monaco had failed to win three successive Ligue 1 games after a fine five-game winning run between February and April. Sébastien Pocognoli’s side are up to sixth in the division, four points behind Lille with just two games to play in the Ligue 1 season.

Frequently involved in high-scoring outcomes, over 2.5 goals were scored in seven of Monaco’s last eight matches, while an average of 3.4 goals per game were scored in the hosts 16 home Ligue 1 games this season.

Head coach Pocognoli has three confirmed absentees this weekend. Kassoum Ouattara (knee), Paris Brunner (hamstring) and Stanis Idumbo Muzambo (shoulder) are all ruled out through injury.

Lille come into Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter after a frustrating 1:1 draw against Le Havre last time out. Hakon Arnar Haraldsson opened the scoring before Issa Soumaré secured a point for the away side.

Bruno Genesio’s side have been in solid form, remaining unbeaten in their last 12 Ligue 1 matches. Lille now sit fourth in the division, just two points behind Lyon in the race for Champions League qualification.

While the visitors are not as reliable in the goal markets as the home side, Lille have seen at least three goals scored in three of their last four away Ligue 1 encounters. 

Head coach Genesio has just one selection issue this weekend. Nabil Bentaleb is expected to miss out due to illness.
