JIPPO return to Mehtimaki tekonurmi in high spirits after an impressive 2:0 road victory at Klubi 04 last weekend.

Mikko Hallikainen’s side eased to victory, with first-half goals from Eemeli Honkola and Lauri Sahimaa securing the points.

The hosts have been in solid form this season. JIPPO have lost just two of their first 14 league matches, but an inability to turn draws into victories remains an issue. The hosts won six and drew six of their 12 unbeaten fixtures.

Issa Thiaw’s men come into this contest after a  dramatic 1:1 draw against SJK Akatemia last weekend. Miko Koivuniemi’s stoppage-time goal secured a point for MP. 

Following that draw, the visitors sit sixth in the Ykkosliiga standings, with five wins, two draws and seven defeats recorded from their first 14 league matches.
