Levski Sofia vs Borac Banja Luka prediction 14.07.2026 | Champions League

Last season, Levski returned to the throne in domestic football after almost two decades. They comfortably won the title with 14 points more than CSKA 1948 and Ludogorets. Now, Levski will try to qualify for their first Champions League appearance since the 2006/07 season. 

Levski were excellent in the preseason. They ended unbeaten with three wins and one draw in four matches. Especially impressive was Levski's defense, as they conceded only one goal in those four games. Unfortunately, Julio Velazquez's team allowed a goal already in their first official game of the season, against Borac Banja Luka, and will need to do much better in the second leg. 

Levski are making significant efforts in the transfer market this summer. They already signed Reinaldo and Serginho from the Portuguese Santa Clara. Also, Levski added David Kusso (who came from Chaves), Alex Centelles (Almeria), Mehdi Moubarik (Al Ain), and Adrian Raychev (Pisa). 

In the last few seasons, Borac Banja Luka have grown into one of the most prominent teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the previous year, they won their fourth domestic championship title. Two years ago, Borac qualified for the Conference League group phase, and they are hoping for a similar success in the current campaign. 

Borac Banja Luka were solid in the preseason. They were unbeaten in the first three matches. However, Borac's worst match came in the final test, when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Akhmat Grozny. Vinko Marinovic's side have scored only four goals across their last four matches, including the first leg against Levski, and their lack of attacking efficiency appears to be the main concern ahead of the return fixture.

Borac Banja Luka signed a few interesting players this summer. Dani Romera, who came from Rudar Prijedor, could be a big addition for the team from Banja Luka. Also, they added Amar Milak (who came from Velez Mostar), Ante Roguljic (Diosgyor), and Erik Ridjan (Slaven Belupo).
