Champions League
Last week's first-leg encounter marked the first-ever meeting between the two sides, and with the contest ending all square, everything remains to be decided in the return leg.
Egnatia team overview
Egnatia return to Rrogozhine with a valuable psychological edge after emerging from the first leg with a hard-earned draw despite facing extremely challenging circumstances, and they will now be confident of finishing the job in front of their own supporters, where home advantage could prove decisive.
The Green and Blacks endured a nightmare start in Chisinau after falling behind inside the opening minute, but they responded admirably by showing impressive composure and determination, eventually restoring parity through Altin Kryeziu in the 35th minute before their task became significantly more complicated on the stroke of half time, when captain and midfield leader Albano Aleksi was shown a straight red card following a VAR review.
Forced to play the entire second half with 10 men, Nevil Dede's side retreated into a disciplined defensive shape and produced a courageous rearguard display, successfully withstanding relentless waves of pressure from Petrocub to preserve the 1-1 scoreline and leave Moldova with a result that could ultimately prove invaluable ahead of the return leg.
The Albanian champions will, however, be without the suspended Albano Aleksi on Thursday, while Ibrahim Diabate is widely expected to come into the starting lineup as Dede looks to compensate for the absence of one of his most influential midfield figures.

Petrocub team overview
Meanwhile, Petrocub Hincesti make the trip to southwestern Europe knowing that they squandered a golden opportunity to take a first-leg advantage into the return fixture, although their hopes of reaching the second qualifying round of the Champions League for the first time in two years remain firmly in their own hands.
Shota Makharadze's side enjoyed complete territorial dominance for much of the second half against a 10-man Egnatia outfit, but despite controlling possession and dictating the tempo, they repeatedly lacked the cutting edge required to break down their opponents' disciplined low block and ultimately had to settle for a frustrating goalless draw.
The Hincesti Lions were unable to build on that frustrating European display at the weekend, as they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw away to FC Balti in domestic competition, with the result once again highlighting their defensive vulnerabilities after managing just one clean sheet across their opening four matches in all competitions this season.
On a more positive note, Petrocub travel to Albania with a fully fit squad and no suspension concerns, leaving Makharadze with the luxury of selecting from a full-strength squad for what promises to be a decisive Champions League qualifier.

Prediction
This match has all the makings of a tight, chess-like second leg with an extremely low number of goals. Egnatia proved in the first leg that they possess incredible defensive discipline under pressure, and returning to their home turf in Rrogozhine, where they traditionally rarely lose, gives them the edge as favorites.
On the other hand, Petrocub has a chronic issue with conversion against organized low blocks, which was evident in their domestic league over the weekend (a 1-1 draw against Balti). While the loss of captain Aleksi is a handicap for the hosts, Petrocub will be forced to open up, which will create space for the Albanians' lethal counter-attack.
Three Reasons we expect Under 2.5 Goals
- Egnatia have recorded back-to-back clean sheets on home soil.
- Five of Egnatia’s last six home matches have ended with fewer than 2.5 goals.
- Four of Petrocub’s last six matches have finished below the 2.5-goal line.
Main prediction Egnatia Rrogozhinë - Petrocub
Under 2.5 goals
