Boston Celtics Vs. Indiana Pacers Game 4 Preview and Prediction

Despite having an 18-point lead at one point in game 3, the Indiana Pacers weren’t able to stop the Boston Celtics from stealing the game. Indiana’s Andrew Nembhard put up 32 points while T.J. McConnell had 23. Siakam and Turner contributed 22 each. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 36 while Jaylen Brown and Al Horford put up 24 and 23 points respectively.

Game 3 was devastating for Indiana. After starting the second half with a 69-57 lead, the Pacers let Boston run them over in the third and fourth quarters and steal the game. Instead of going into game 4 down a manageable 2-1 in the series, Indy’s facing elimination. Game 4 will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday at 8 PM EST. Can they bounce back and keep the dream alive?

The best NBA betting sites have Boston listed as an 8-point favorite heading into game 4. That’s a full point more than it was in game 3. If you think Indiana will shake off their game 3 collapse and take game 4, then the 3.70 moneyline looks tempting. A game total of 222.5 is quite intriguing too. So, what’s the best bet? Let’s find out.

Boston Celtics at Indiana Pacers Game 4: Killer Instinct

Now at 11-2 in the playoffs, and riding a 6-game winning streak to boot, the Celtics have been rolling. However, they haven’t been kind to their spread backers lately going just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games and just 1-4 ATS in their last 5. It’s been the opposite with Indiana in recent games. The Pacers have dropped 4 of their last 6 games SU, but they have gone 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5.

Totals bettor might find it interesting that Boston’s last 6 games and Indiana’s last 5 have gone over the total. The Over has also gone 9-2 in Indiana’s last 11 home games and it’s 7-3 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings. Let’s not forget that these two teams routinely combine for massive game totals. 222.5 seems like a bargain considering that the lowest combined game total of the series was 225 in game 3.

A pattern of the Celetics defeating the Pacers while failing to cover the spread has emerged. So, I am going to take the Pacers +8. I also see some strong Over indicators which is why I will get a bit of that trendy Over 222.5 action as well. Be sure to check Mighty Tips every day for the latest NBA tips and predictions.
