Sirius vs Mjallby prediction 03.07.2026 | Allsvenskan

After being a mid-table Allsvenskan team for most of the previous decade, Sirius shocked almost everybody with their first few months of the 2026 season. Andreas Engelmark's team has won nine of ten matches so far and is eight points ahead of the next team in the standings, Hacken. Before the summer break, Sirius were on a run of five consecutive wins. In the previous league round, they won 3-0 on the road against AIK. According to the stats, the teams were pretty even, but the visitors' much better efficiency was enough for all three points. 

Although the transfer window in Sweden is not yet open, Sirius are working hard to further improve their team. They agreed with PSV on the transfer of the striker Jesper Uneken, who will join Sirius next week. The Dutchman's previous season was spent in the Eerste Divisie, where he scored 14 goals and recorded 6 assists in 35 matches for RKC Waalwijk. 

Sirius' Mohamed Soumah will serve a suspension on Friday against Mjallby, while Noel Milleskog is unavailable due to injury. Also, Joakim Persson and August Ljunberg are questionable. 

After a sensational trophy last season, Mjallby returned to reality in the current campaign. They are a top-half team, but far from the level we would expect from the defending champions. The last few games before the summer break were tough, as Mjallby collected only two goals in three matches. In the most recent Allsvenskan outing, Karl Marius Aksum's team played 1-1 on the road against Goteborg. The teams were pretty even for most of the game, and a draw seemed the most realistic outcome. 

Mjallby could be even weaker in the rest of the season, as it seems that their star, midfielder Elliott Stroud, is close to signing with Genoa. Also, Ludwig Malachowski Thorell, another interesting youngster, could leave Mjallby for Basel. 

Elliot Stroud is with the Swedish national team and will not play on Friday in Uppsala.
