Manchester City hope to maintain their slim hopes of EPL title glory when they take on Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.
The Citizens face back to back fixtures at the Etihad Stadium after a comfortable win against Brentford last weekend while Crystal Palace make the trip north after an entertaining draw versus Everton.
City claimed a comfortable win when these sides met earlier this season but will need to maintain focus to claim victory again this week.

Manchester City and Crystal Palace have met on 13 occasions since 2020. Man City won seven of those games, while Palace picked up two victories, including a famous triumph in the FA Cup final almost 12 months ago.
Manchester City team overview
Manchester City return to EPL action on Wednesday after a relatively straightforward 3:0 win against Brentford last weekend. Following a goalless 60 minutes, second-half goals from Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush secured the points for the Citizens.
Pep Guardiola’s men have been in largely excellent form, winning seven of their last eight matches. However a 3:3 draw against Everton earlier this month is likely to prove costly in their pursuit of the EPL title. City now sit five points behind Arsenal with this game in hand.
Usually a reliable choice in the goal markets, six of the Citizens last seven games finished with at least three goals scored. Six of seven previous EPL meetings between these sides also saw over 2.5 match goals.
Head coach Guardiola has three expected absentees this week. Joško Gvardiol (broken leg) and Rodri are ruled out through injury, while Abdukodir Khusanov is doubtful due to a knock.

Crystal Palace team overview
Crystal Palace make the trip to the Etihad Stadium after picking up a point in a back-and-forth 2:2 draw against Everton last weekend. Jean Philippe Mateta stepped off the bench to score his 11th EPL goal of the season as the Eagles twice fought back to claim a point at Selhurst Park.
Oliver Glasner’s side are now safe from the threat of relegation but with a Conference League final to look forward to, competition for places should see the Eagles put up a strong fight this week.
The Eagles have been in mixed form, winning three and losing three of six previous fixtures before Sunday’s draw against Everton.
High-scoring outcomes have been a recurring theme for Palace in recent weeks. All but one of their last ten fixtures finished with over 2.5 goals scored.
Head coach Glasner has four expected absentees for Wednesday’s EPL encounter. Borna Sosa (muscle), Cheick Doucouré (knee) and Eddie Nketiah (strain) are ruled out through injury, while Evann Guessand is also unavailable.
Jean Philippe Mateta could earn a recall after his goalscoring substitute appearance against the Toffees.

Prediction
Man City should maintain their strong home form with another potentially high-scoring EPL victory on Wednesday.
I have my stake on a home win with over 2.5 goals scored.
Three Reasons Why We Expect Man City to Win/Over 2.5 Goals
- Manchester City won 7 of their last 8 matches
- Manchester City have seen over 2.5 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches
- Crystal Palace have seen over 2.5 goals in 9 of their last 10 matches
