Bonuses & Promotions

9/10

As part of this Leon review, we looked closely at the sportsbook’s long-running welcome campaign, which allows new users to unlock up to twenty €15 free bets over time.

To take part, players must register an account on or after 21 December 2022 and select the bonus code “300 € worth free bets” on the deposit page.

A minimum deposit of €10 (or $10) is required while the campaign is active. Once the deposit is made, a €15 free bet is credited automatically to the bonus account. Each player can receive a maximum of twenty free bets during the entire campaign.

Each €15 free bet must be placed as a single pre-match or in-play bet at odds between 1.30 and 2.50. The free bet must be placed and settled within 48 hours of being credited to the bonus account, otherwise it expires.

If the free bet wins, only the net winnings are credited to the bonus account. If the free bet loses, the €15 stake is removed and cannot be re-triggered. Bets that are cancelled, sold, re-settled at odds of 1.0, or settled at odds of 0.5 (Asian Total / Asian Handicap) do not qualify.

To withdraw the winnings from a successful free bet, players must place 10 qualifying bets within 200 hours after the net winnings are credited to the bonus account.

Each qualifying bet must:

  • Have a minimum stake of €15 / $15
  • Include at least one selection with odds between 1.50 and 3.00
  • Be placed as a single or multiple pre-match or in-play bet

Both winning and losing bets count toward wagering. Cancelled bets, cash-out bets, or bets returned at odds of 1.00 do not count.

Only bets placed on different sports events are eligible. Multiple bets on different markets within the same event do not count; only the first bet placed on that event is considered.

Once all wagering requirements are completed, players can transfer the net winnings from the bonus account to their main balance by clicking the “Redeem” button in their account.

Deposit withdrawals are subject to Leon’s general payment rules, and Leon reserves the right to withhold a 15% commission on deposits if betting activity is deemed insufficient or focused on odds below 1.60.

First Match Fire

Leon also runs short, event-specific promotions like First Match Fire, which is built around a single high-profile fixture.

This campaign offers a €5 free bet on the Albacete Balompié vs Real Madrid match, available for a very limited time. The promotion runs from 14 January 2026 (13:00 CET) to 15 January 2026 (07:00 CET), and each user can claim it once.

To take part, players simply need to opt in, after which the €5 free bet is credited automatically to the bonus balance.
The free bet must be placed as a single live or pre-match bet on the specified match, with odds between 1.01 and 10.00. If the bet wins, the winnings are kept, subject to wagering.

To withdraw those winnings, players must place 5 qualifying bets using real funds, each with a minimum stake of €5 and at least one selection at odds of 1.30 or higher. Both winning and losing bets count, and all wagering must be completed within 72 hours.

The Winning Five

The Winning Five is a football-focused promo aimed at fans of Europe’s top leagues, offering up to €50 in free bets across multiple claims.

The campaign runs from 4 January 2026 to 19 January 2026, and each user can claim the bonus up to five times. After opting in, players must place at least four winning bets on matches from the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, or Ligue 1.

Each qualifying bet must:

  • Be a single or multi bet with 2+ selections
  • Include at least one selection from the listed leagues
  • Have odds of 1.60 or higher
  • Use a minimum stake of €10

Once completed, a €10 free bet is credited automatically.
The free bet can be used on any sport, with odds between 1.70 and 5.00, and must be placed and settled within 48 hours.

50% Champion’s Boost

For players who prefer reload-style bonuses, Leon offers the 50% Champion’s Boost, a recurring weekend promotion.

This campaign runs from 9 January 2026 until 27 December 2026 and can be claimed once per week. After opting in, players must deposit at least €15 between Friday and Sunday, selecting the promotion on the deposit page.

Leon credits a 50% deposit bonus, capped at €200, directly to the bonus balance. To withdraw, the bonus amount must be wagered 15x, using single or multi bets with:

  • 2+ selections
  • At least one selection at odds between 1.70 and 5.00

Both winning and losing bets count, and all wagering must be completed within 72 hours of the bonus being credited.

VIP Loyalty Program

Leonbet has an ongoing VIP program that provides bonuses such as cashback, free bets, and exclusive offers to high rollers. To be a VIP member at the bookie, you’ll need to accumulate loyalty points - Leons. You can exchange these points for free bets or cash. The program is tiered, so the higher you wager on events, the higher you grow on the leaderboard.

The platform also has other bonuses eligible for existing users. You’ll need to keep checking its promotions page to get details on ongoing and new offers.

If you’re looking for the best bookmakers for football betting, then you should really see what Leon (or Leon.bet) has to offer. The odds margins for many mainstream football matches hover around 2%. Punters will be hard-pressed to find such great odds. While odds margins for other major sports like rugby, cricket, basketball, and baseball might be a bit higher, they are still superior to those at most other online sportsbooks.

Even the odds for small-market sports like handball, badminton, and volleyball are beyond competitive. While some bookies charge up to and in excess of 10%, Leon’ margins typically come in at between 5% and 8%. This Leonbets review is thrilled with having access to such fantastic odds. These great odds make it a lot easier to eke out a profit.

Mobile

8/10

Placing bets, withdrawing your winnings, and watching live sports streams has never been so easy or convenient. Those who use Android devices can download the Leon Android app right on the site. The Leon app gives punters full access to everything the site has to offer.

While using the app has some benefits, you don’t have to download it to enjoy the ultimate mobile sports betting experience. Leon is fully optimized for mobile devices which means you only need an internet signal and a mobile browser.

Usability

8/10

Leon’ interface and design should look very familiar if you have ever been to an online bookmaker. The main body of the sportsbook lobby displays some of the most popular leagues currently being wagered on. You can scroll through the list of sports either at the top of the main page or by swiping through the alphabetically ordered menu.

  • Limitations
  • iOS betting app not available through Leon

It takes only seconds to find the sport, league, and match you’re looking for. Once you make your selection, the betslip instantly pops up allowing you to enter the wager amount and submit it, or keep adding selections to build an accumulator. Even the most inexperienced punter will easily find his way around Leon' sportsbook.

Types of Bets

9/10

There are several types of wagers that punters can make at Leon. You can place futures, pre-match wagers, and in-play bets. You can stick to a single selection, or keep adding them to your betslip to build an accumulator or combination bet.

Each match on Leon’ betting menu serves up an impressive array of betting options. For instance, a typical EPL match will present bettors with over 400 betting opportunities including:

  • Handicaps
  • Totals
  • 1st Half
  • 2nd Half
  • Corners

If you don’t like the spread, then you can select an alternative spread. The same goes with totals. Perhaps the only area that Leon lacks is player props. However, they appear to have everything else well covered.

Credibility

8/10

A lot can be said about Leon being in business for over a decade. Online bookmakers have to do a lot of things right to survive in such a competitive industry. Leon is licensed and regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, under the license number 0081. We also like that punters can bet using PayPal and that the online casino vertical features games from top developers like Microgaming and NetEnt. PayPal only offers its services to licensed operators with good reputations. The same applies to Microgaming, NetEnt, and many of the other software providers that are featured at Leon.

We also considered what other experts and Leon' customers had to say. We were happy to discover that Leon is thought of highly by both parties. Sure, we came across a few complaints, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. We have no second thoughts about endorsing Leon as a credible, respectable, and trustworthy bookmaker.

Payment Methods

8/10

Banking at Leon is fairly standard and won’t surprise experienced bettors. Players can fund their accounts using Visa and Mastercard, along with selected e-wallet options, although availability depends on the country you’re registering from.

Once logged in, Leon makes things relatively transparent by providing dedicated “How to deposit” and “How to withdraw” pages at the bottom of the site, where users can see which payment methods are available to them.

The minimum deposit is generally low, starting from just one unit of your chosen currency, though individual payment providers may apply higher limits.

Withdrawals come with a few conditions worth noting. Leon may apply a 5% commission on withdrawals if betting activity is considered insufficient, which for sportsbook bets typically means wagering on odds lower than 1.60.

The minimum withdrawal amount is €5 or $2, subject to both payment provider rules and Leon’s internal risk and activity checks.

Support

8/10

Leon offers standard customer support options, including live chat and email support, both accessible via the “Help” link on the website.

There is no phone support, which may disappoint some users, but live chat should be sufficient for resolving most common issues related to payments, bonuses, or account verification.

Overall, customer service here is basic and functional. While it doesn’t go above and beyond, support agents are available to assist if problems arise, and responses are generally adequate for routine inquiries.

Overall

8.3/10

We really enjoyed the time we spent putting together this review of Leon. While it didn’t look like anything special at first glance, we have come to the conclusion that this is a bookmaker worthy of top-tier status. The main factor for not scoring a higher rating is the lack of promotions. However, the excellent odds more than compensate for that. Another minor complaint is that Leon doesn’t offer quite as many betting options as some other big bookies.

Aside from being one of the best football betting sites around, features like live streaming and cashout put Leon over the top. If you are looking for a highly-rated betting site that supports the Euro, or one that supports a variety of other currencies like the US dollar, Canadian dollar, or pound sterling, Leon is the bookie for you. We recommend that you at least visit them and take a look around. You’ll like what you see.
