Liam Palmer and Sheffield in 2-0 loss

Liam Palmer, sponsored by MightyTips, was one of the better performers in a losing side as Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-0 to Coventry. Dimitrios Goutas’ side Cardiff shared points with Plymouth, Lewis Travis played his part in a 3-0 loss in which Jacob Chapman was an unused sub.

Coventry 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Despite a 2-0 loss, Liam Palmer performed at a good level. With 79 minutes on the pitch, he was taken off to rest. 71% accurate passes were recorded and five into the final third - creating a few chances for Sheffield which were unfortunately not taken well.

A double from Coventry’s central midfielder Sakamoto sealed Sheffield’s unfortunate outcome. Wednesday sits second last in the league table after a good streak of results saw them leapfrog Rotherham.

Cardiff 2-0 Plymouth Argyle

A bad day at the office for Goutas as his defense concedes a double. Despite a shaky defensive performance, Goutas managed to chip in with eight balls into the final third. 83% aerial duels won is also another statistic to note.

Plymouth’s savior Whittaker scored a brace to match an own goal from Butcher, and later a Karlan Grant strike. This draw sees Cardiff succumb to their shaky form, now sitting 11th in a very competitive league.
