Union Brescia vs Ascoli prediction 02.06.2026 | Serie C

Union Brescia were founded in 2025 after Feralpisalo's relocation to the city following the collapse of the original Brescia Calcio. The club had been relegated from Serie B and was denied admission to Serie C due to financial difficulties. In the first season, Union Brescia have been solid and eventually secured 2nd place thanks to a strong finish. However, they weren't really close to securing a direct promotion as 1st-placed Vicenza left them 20 points behind. Still, when it mattered the most, in the Playoffs, Union Brescia impressed the most and fairly easily secured the Finals. 

After a 2:0 win over Salernitana, coach Eugenio Corini spoke to the media. He praised both his players and the atmosphere at the Stadio Rigamonti. The coach added that they fully deserved the victory and emphasized the group's belief and determination throughout the playoff campaign. 

Ascoli suffered relegation from Serie B in the 2023/24 season and had an atrocious following season, where they almost got relegated from Serie C. However, they bounced back in the best way possible and are in a position to advance to Serie B. Like Union Brescia, they finished 2nd in their group but were in a position to advance directly. Unfortunately, after losing their last regular-season game, they missed it by three points. Also, in the Playoffs, Ascoli won both home games but were not that good on the road. It will be interesting to see if they can change the negative momentum away from home. 

After a 2:1 loss to Catania and the advancement to the Finals, coach Francesco Tomei spoke to the media. He said they knew it would be a physical battle, but the players adapted well. The coach said they deserved to reach the final and are focused on recovery and preparing for the upcoming two difficult games against Brescia.
