Qingdao Hainiu are once again among the relegation candidates. They are only two points ahead of the drop zone and could have a lot of problems in the coming months. Qingdao Hainiu's form doesn't provide too much optimism either, as they lost their last four league matches. The negative run ended last weekend in the cup, when Milan Ristic's team won on penalties away at Wuxi Wugou. The hosts were slightly better and maybe deserved more, but the guests eventually secured a victory that could restore some confidence. 

Qingdao Hainiu have big problems in defense. They conceded 12 goals in the last five matches across all competitions. If Milan Ristic's team doesn't improve its defense significantly, it will not be surprising if Qingdao Hainiu plays in the League One next year. 

Yaw Yeboah will serve a suspension on Friday against Yunnan Yukun, while Carlos Stranberg and Wei Zixian will miss the game due to injuries. Also, Jin Yonghao is questionable, and his status will be clearer closer to the kickoff. 

Yunnan Yukun were founded only five years ago and they are already one of the best teams in the Chinese Super League. Yunnan Yukun are far from the league leader, Chengdu Rongcheng, but Jordi Vinyals' team could fight for the second position and a place in the AFC Champions League 2. Yunnan Yukun are in a solid form with only one defeat in the last six matches. In the most recent outing, they won 4-2 on the road in the cup against Suzhou Dongwu. 

Yunnan Yukun have established themselves as one of the most dangerous offensive sides in the Chinese Super League this season. They are the third-best attacking team in the competition with 27 goals in 15 matches. 

Yunnan Yukun also have some problems with missing players. They will be without suspended Andrei Burca and injured Tsui Wang-Kit, while Caio Vinicius is questionable.
