Panama and England go head-to-head in their final Group L fixture in New Jersey on Saturday evening.
Panama come into this World Cup clash already eliminated after back-to-back defeats against Ghana and Croatia. Contrastingly, England arrive at New York New Jersey Stadium knowing a positive result should be enough to secure their place in the knockout rounds.
With Panama playing for pride and England looking to seal qualification, the Three Lions will be expected to claim a vital victory.

World Cup
Panama and England have met on one previous occasion. England claimed a dominant 6-1 win at the 2018 World Cup, with Harry Kane scoring a hat-trick.
Panama team overview
Panama make the trip to New Jersey after a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Croatia. Thomas Christiansen’s side produced a committed performance in Toronto, but Ante Budimir’s second-half goal proved the difference at BMO Field.
It was a similar story for the Panamanians who also suffered a 1:0 defeat against Ghana in their opening Group L fixture, leaving them without a point or a goal after two matches and already out of the competition.
The Canal Men performed well in both fixtures, and will feel they deserved more from their World Cup showing.
Still, a lack of attacking quality has been a major issue. Panama managed just one shot on target from eight attempts against Croatia and have struggled to create clear openings in both matches.
Head coach Christiansen is likely to make changes to his first XI on Thursday. Cecilio Waterman, Jose Fajardo, Ismael Diaz and Jose Luis Rodriguez are among those who could come into contention.

England team overview
England arrive at New York New Jersey Stadium after a frustrating 0-0 draw against Ghana. Thomas Tuchel’s side dominated for large periods of the contest, but they were unable to break down a disciplined Ghanaian defence.
The Three Lions opened their tournament with a superb 4:2 win against Croatia. Harry Kane scored twice in that victory, while Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford were also on target.
England still lead Group L with four points, but their place in the knockout rounds is not yet secured. A win would guarantee progression and could be enough to finish top of the group, depending on Ghana’s result against Croatia.
A comfortable win does seem likely, though. England won by more than one goal in 15 of their last 17 wins, while they also eased to a commanding 6:1 win against Panama in their only previous encounter at the World Cup in 2018.
Head coach Tuchel could make changes after the Ghana stalemate. Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford are among the attacking options pushing for starts.

Prediction
Panama have battled hard in both matches, but England should have too much quality in New Jersey.
The Three Lions were frustrated by Ghana, but they should respond with a strong performance this weekend.
I have my money on England to win by at least two clear goals.
Three Reasons Why We Expect England -1.5 to Win
- England beat Croatia 4-2 in their opening Group L fixture
- England won by more than 1 goal in 15 of their last 17 wins
- Panama failed to score in each of their first two group fixtures
Main prediction Panama - England
AH2 (-1.5)
