Ferencvaros vs Viktoria Plzen prediction 25.09.2025 | Europa League

Ferencvaros have been a dominant force in Hungary, winning the last seven league titles. This year, they have had a slightly worse start as they sit in 4th place with 11 points - four away from the top spot, although with one game played less. The Hungarians started the European Qualifiers from the Champions League 2nd Round, where they managed to eliminate Noah and Ludogorets, but eventually lost to Qaraba on a 5:4 aggregate. 

After a 2:2 draw, coach Robbie Keane spoke to the media. He has been very unhappy with the first half, conceding two goals that could have been easily prevented. When asked why he changed five players after the first half, he said he would have changed all ten if he could. Still, the coach eventually praised the substitutions, saying Gruber's two goals were fantastic. 

Viktoria Plzen have been mostly among the best teams in the Czech Republic, winning their last title in the 2021/22 season. Last year, they finished second, but not even remotely close to the title, as Slavia Prague left them 16 points behind. This season, similarly to their opponents, they haven't had the best start in the domestic league, considering they are sitting in fourth place with 15 points from nine rounds - already seven away from the top spot. 

Viktoria also started their European Qualifiers from the second round of the Champions League. They eliminated Servette but lost to Rangers on a 4:2 aggregate. 

After the latest game (2:1 loss) vs Sparta Prague, coach Miroslav Koubek spoke to the media. He said they allowed cheap goals which really hurt them. The coach said they had the chance to take points from Sparta, but blew the opportunity.
