Both teams were terrible recently and will try to get back on the right track before the Nations League. Let's break down the match and find the best betting option.

The only two H2H matches between these two teams were during the 2018 World Cup qualification. Azerbaijan won both games, 1-0 and 5-1. However, both sides changed squads almost completely since then.
Azerbaijan team overview
Azerbaijan were never close to the World Cup or EURO appearance. Although both tournaments have recently expanded, the so-called Milli Komanda still appears to be some way off the required level. Azerbaijan have been terrible recently, with only two victories in the last 19 matches. In the most recent outing, Aykhan Abbasov's team lost 2-0 against Malta. Although Azerbaijan had significantly more shots on the goal, their terrible efficiency was responsible for another defeat.
Azerbaijan lost the previous game, and head coach Aykhan Abbasov was understandably unhappy. He said, "It was a disappointing defeat. However, we witnessed a match played at a high intensity for the full 90 minutes. Khayal Aliyev's injury disrupted our game plan. Even so, we created many scoring opportunities. But we need to be more clinical and maintain that tempo throughout the match."
With Khayal Aliyev's injury, we should expect Rustam Ahmadzada to start on Tuesday against San Marino. Also, Abbasov will likely rotate the squad further and give more players a run in the final test ahead of the Nations League.

San Marino team overview
According to the FIFA ranking, San Marino are the worst team in the world. It is hard to expect anything from one of Europe's smallest countries, and every victory is a miracle. In the last 14 matches, San Marino have one draw and 13 defeats. In the previous game, Roberto Cevoli's team lost 2-1 at home against Bangladesh. In the visitors' first victory on European soil, San Marino were slightly better and probably deserved at least a draw.
The head coach, Roberto Cevoli, was disappointed after a defeat against Bangladesh. He said that his team didn't perform well. Cevoli took responsibility for the defeat.
Most San Marino players are not playing at the professional level. Surely the best player is the goalkeeper Edoardo Colombo, who plays for Gzira United. The rest of the squad is mostly at a lower level than the Italian Serie C.

Prediction
Both these teams have massive problems in the attack. Azerbaijan scored only four goals in the last eight matches (excluding six goals against Saint Lucia). On the other hand, San Marino scored three goals in the previous seven games. Although the last meeting between these two teams saw six goals, with both teams struggling on offense, Tuesday should offer a completely different match. Our prediction: Under 3.5 goals.
3 Reasons why we shouldn't expect more than three goals in this match
- Azerbaijan scored 11 goals in the last 15 matches
- San Marino scored three goals in the previous seven games
- The last three San Marino matches have gone under 3.5 goals
Main prediction -
Under 3.5 goals
