Al Ahli have invested a lot of money in the squad in the last few years, but they always fail to stay in the title race. In the previous season, Al Ahli finished fifth in the Saudi Professional League, but the title in the AFC Champions League saved the year. Al Hilal and Nassr are probably the best Saudi teams right now, but Al Ahli should be next to them in the upcoming season. 

After a solid preseason with three wins in five matches, Al Ahli carried their momentum into last week's Super Cup, where they defeated both Al Qadisiya and Al Nassr to claim the first trophy of the season. That success will surely boost their confidence ahead of the upcoming clash with Neom SC.

Al Ahli left a few important players this summer, like Gabri Veiga, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Roberto Firmino. On the other hand, by far the biggest signing in the current transfer window is Enzo Millot, who came from Stuttgart for 30 million euros. We should expect more additions from Al Ahli in the coming weeks. 

Neom SC played in Division 1 last season, the second level of Saudi Arabian football. They were dominant in that competition, with 14 points more than the next team at the end of the season. Although Neom SC never played in the strongest level of national football, they invested a lot this summer and shouldn't have any problems with avoiding relegation. 

However, although Neom SC invested a lot, their preseason was far from ideal as they ended with three draws and one defeat. In the last test, Neom SC played 2-2 against AS Roma. 

Neom SC have done a brilliant job this summer. They signed Abdoulaye Doucoure (who came from Everton), Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon), Nathan Zeze (Nantes), Marcin Bulka (Nice), Amadou Kone (Reims), and Saimon Bouabre (Monaco).
