Jevgenijs Aleksejevs: Next Fight Preparation

The hard work is well underway for MightyTips ambassador Jevgenijs "The Hurricane" Aleksejevs ahead of a planned fight this spring.

Training alongside renowned boxing coach Roman Anuchin, the undefeated boxer is aiming to extend his winning run and climb further up the rankings.

Anuchin is a legendary trainer who has worked with the likes of Mairis Briedis, ex-IBF and IBO light-welterweight champion Eduard Troyanovsky, and now The Hurricane. He is renowned for his elite-level pad and mitt work. A regular coach with the Mayweather gym down the years, he is now based out in Spain.

While at the camp, the Hurricane will be honing his skills in executing the highest possible technique, perfecting his timing, and working on his fitness, among other skills.

It's an exciting time for The Hurricane - he is undefeated in 15 bouts, eight of which were secured via knockout. His latest win came over Nicolas Veron - comfortably outscoring his opponent on 60-54, 60-53, and 60-53 on the judge's cards.

In his penultimate fight, he had registered a knockout victory over French fighter Dmitri Trenel in a dominant performance, which included three knockdowns (once in round one and twice in round three).

Previously a champion kickboxer, he had experience in various combat sports before focusing on boxing, a decision which looks to be paying dividends as he aims to become one of Europe's most prominent boxers.

Second Training Camp In Spain For The Hurricane

If this camp goes anywhere near as well as the first one in Spain, then The Hurricane will be as ready as he can be.

Reflecting at the end of his previous camp with Anuchin, he said:

Twenty-two days of cool training combining a pleasant Spanish climate and a lot of work with my coach Roman Anuchin. It turned out to be very useful, testing and fun.

Boxing camps are among the most gruelling and comprehensive a professional athlete can endure. Challenging, they may be, but targeted training allows fighters to focus on specific techniques, strategies, and conditioning needed to excel in the ring. Anuchin has plenty of plaudits from within the sport, with fighters praising his deep understanding of the sport.

Spain The Hotspot For Training Camps

Spain The Hotspot For Training Camps

In recent years, the Iberian peninsula has become a popular destination for professional boxers. The weather in Spain is ideal for outdoor training. The country enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers, making it possible to train outdoors almost all year round. The excellent quality of life can attract premium talent from around the world, as evidenced by Anuchin basing his work out there.

The country has produced many world-renowned boxers, such as Javier Castillejo, Kiko Martinez, and Roberto Castanon. Training in a place with such a strong boxing culture can inspire and motivate fighters, while there are some excellent facilities on offer, too.
