Sandefjord return to Jotun Arena looking for a return to winning form having endured a three-game winless run before the World Cup break. 

Andreas Tegstrom’s side suffered a 2:1 defeat against Molde in their most recent Eliteserien fixture. Sebastian Holm Mathisen’s late goal proved consolation only at Aker Stadion.

Before their dip in form at the end of May, Sandefjord had enjoyed a decent run of form, winning four and losing just one of six previous Eliteserien encounters. 

Inconsistency in performance has been a recurring theme for the hosts. As a consequence, Sandefjord find themselves eighth in the Eliteserien standings, two places and three points behind Sunday’s visitors.

Head coach Tegstrom has some injury concerns this weekend. Hakon Krogelien, Filip Loftesnes Bjune and Jakob Maslo Dunsby are all expected to miss out.

Thomas Myhre’s side claimed a 2:1 win against IFK Goteborg in their most recent outing, a result that should give them confidence before their return to league action.

A solid run of form sees the visitors unbeaten in eight of nine games played since April.  HamKam now sit sixth in the Eliteserien standings ahead of their first top flight fixture since May. 

The visitors have been competitive in this fixture, and their recent H2H record against Sandefjord should give them belief ahead of Sunday’s contest. HamKam are unbeaten in seven of their last eight encounters, with six wins picked up in that run. 

Head coach Myhre has one reported absentee, with Luc Mares expected to miss out through injury.
