Julien Lachuer's side had several opportunities to rescue a point in a keenly-contested Ligue 1 fixture. Brest registered seven shots on target including Kenny Lala’s late missed penalty.

That defeat followed a 1:1 draw at Lille, with the visitors now winless in four of their last five matches.

Brest’s only win in an otherwise disappointing period was an emphatic 5:1 home victory against Angers. 

The visitors now come into this fixture sitting 13th in Ligue 1 with nine points from eight matches. 

Brest have struggled to keep clean sheets this season. Both teams scored in seven of their eight league fixtures this season, including all four away Ligue 1 matches.

Julien Lachuer has several injury concerns ahead of Monday's derby. Brendan Chardonnet and Giovani Versini are expected to remain sidelined, while Raphael Le Guen is a long-term absentee with a broken fibula. 

Romain Cagnon also faces a late fitness test.
