Como and Venezia have met six times in competitive fixtures since 2020. Both teams won two games, while two matches finished level.
Como team overview
Como return to home action after securing an impressive 3:1 comeback victory against Torino on Tuesday evening.
Che Adams gave Torino an early lead, but Jacobo Ramon equalised in the 81st minute before Nico Paz and Martin Baturina struck late on to complete a dramatic turnaround.
Tuesday's result extended Como's winning run to four games in all competitions. Fabregas' side also claimed excellent victories against Fiorentina, Manchester United and Sassuolo during that sequence.
The free-scoring hosts won by more than one goal in all four of those wins, with a total of 12 goals scored. Over a longer period, Fabregas’s men scored at least two goals in nine of their last 11 fixtures.
Coming into this weekend’s fixture, the hosts sit fourth in Serie A with 20 points from nine matches.
Home performances have been encouraging. Como won four and drew one of five games at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia this season. I Lariani scored four in big wins against RB Leipzig and Manchester United in their maiden Champions League campaign.
Fabregas has several injury concerns ahead of Sunday's contest. Assane Diao, Jesus Rodriguez, Trevoh Chalobah, Mattia Liberali and Moise Kean are expected to remain unavailable. Jayden Addai is also a doubt.

Venezia team overview
Venezia make the trip to Como after a 2:0 home defeat against Inter on Wednesday evening.
Davide Nicola's side frustrated the visitors for long periods, but own goals from Matias Moreno and Redouane Halhal in the 79th and 82nd minutes handed Inter all three points.
Wednesday's defeat followed a narrow 1:0 loss at Genoa last weekend.
The visitors had previously secured a surprise 1:0 home victory against Napoli, with Akor Adams scoring the winner in Nicola's first match in charge.
That result remains Venezia's only league victory this season. The newly promoted side sit bottom of Serie A with three points from nine fixtures, having lost eight of those matches.
Still pointless on the road, Nicola’s side suffered high-scoring defeats at Atalanta (3:1) and Frosinone (3:2) with a total of nine goals conceded in four fixtures.
Nicola has several selection problems ahead of Sunday's encounter. Marin Sverko, Thierry Correia, Bartol Franjic and Andrea Adorante are expected to remain sidelined.
Thorir Helgason and Pasquale Mazzocchi also face late fitness tests.

Prediction
Como have made an impressive start to the campaign and should be confident of extending their winning run against struggling Venezia.
Fabregas' men have been strong at home, while Venezia have lost all four away league games while conceding exactly three goals in defeats at Atalanta and Frosinone.
A home win with at least three goals scored should prove a solid choice this weekend.
Four Reasons Why We Expect Como to Win/Over 2.5 Goals
- Como won their last 4 matches
- Como scored 3+ goals in 3 of their last 4 matches
