Kalmar vs Orgryte prediction 05.07.2026 | Allsvenskan

After one year in Superettan, Kalmar's primary goal for the 2026 season is to avoid another relegation. However, the first ten Allsvenskan rounds were tough, as Toni Koskela's team has collected only ten points so far and is one position above the relegation playoff. Kalmar struggled with consistency, having three wins and three defeats in the last six games before the break. In the most recent outing, Koskela's team lost 3-0 on the road against GAIS. The hosts created an xG of only 1.03, but the guests still suffered a heavy defeat. 

Kalmar have all their points collected this season at Guldfageln Arena. Interestingly, they won all three previous games in Kalmar. That should be a serious strength for Kalmar on Sunday afternoon against Orgryte. 

Kalmar have some problems with missing players. They will be without Malcolm Stolt and Aboubacar Keita in the upcoming clash. 

Orgryte are another team that played in Superettan last season. Like Kalmar, they are one of the relegation candidates. Orgryte haven't impressed so far, having collected only six points and sitting at the bottom of the standings. Andreas Holmberg's team struggled recently, as they are winless in the last eight matches. In the previous game, Orgryte played 2-2 at home against Elfsborg. That was another match in which the hosts had too many defensive problems, but eventually, Orgryte's offense was good enough for one valuable point. 

In the first road game this season, Orgryte shocked Mjallby with a 2-0 victory. However, that was followed by four consecutive defeats and only one goal scored. 

Orgryte could be even weaker in the rest of the season as their best player, center-back Michael Parker, is likely to leave the club. Many clubs, including Newcastle, Sporting CP, Brentford, and Eintracht Frankfurt, are interested in the youngster.  

Aydarus Abukar and Rasmus Alm are injured and will not travel to Kalmar.
