Kalmar vs Malmo FF prediction 20.07.2026 | Allsvenskan

After returning to Allsvenskan this season, Kalmar's only goal is to avoid another relegation. The team from Guldfageln Arena hoped for a mid-table position, but after 12 league rounds, Kalmar are only three points ahead of the drop zone. Their recent form doesn't provide too much confidence either, as Toni Koskela's team lost two of the previous three Allsvenskan games. In the most recent outing, Kalmar lost 2-0 on the road against Hammarby. Although a victory was far from straightforward, the hosts controlled most of the game and eventually deservedly left the visitors empty-handed. 

Interestingly, Kalmar have collected all 13 points this season at home. However, if we take a closer look, it is clear that Toni Koskela's team had a favorable schedule in their own stadium and still didn't meet any top Allsvenskan team. 

Kalmar have almost a full squad available, as Malcolm Stolt should be the only one to skip the upcoming tie. 

Malmo FF have won nine Allsvenskan titles in the last 16 years. After only sixth position in 2025, the Swedish powerhouse hoped to return to the throne. However, at almost half of the campaign, they are a big 13 points behind the leaders, Sirius. With a significant deficit, it seems more realistic for Malmo FF to compete for a place in the Conference League. Gaute Helstrup's team has been excellent lately, with three consecutive victories. In the previous game, Malmo FF won 4-0 at home against Goteborg. 

Malmo FF are active in the current transfer window. They signed defender Warren Kamanzi since the last Allsvenskan round. The right-back appeared in 24 Ligue 1 matches last season and will be a valuable addition for Helstrup's team. On the other hand, Taha Ali left Malmo FF and signed for PAOK. 

Malmo FF's Andrej Djuric received a yellow card last weekend and will serve a suspension on Monday. Helstrup's team will also be without the injured Busanello, Anders Christiansen, Pontus Jansson, and Yanis Karabelyov in Kalmar.
