Lahti's return to the Veikkausliiga has been a mixed one. After 11 league matches, they have collected just three wins and already suffered six defeats, the most recent of which was a 1-0 loss to Gnistan in midweek. Overall, the home side have endured a poor run of form lately, losing three consecutive matches across all competitions. 

One positive for manager Gonçalo Pereira is the team's home form. Lahti have earned eight points from six home matches, scoring 11 goals in the process. Still, their biggest challenge remains consistency, as they have alternated promising performances with costly defensive lapses throughout the campaign.

No major injury concerns or suspensions have been widely reported ahead of the match, although final squad availability will be confirmed closer to kick-off. Goalscoring responsibilities have been fairly evenly distributed across the team, with as many as five FC Lahti players having already scored twice this season. 

TPS have made a relatively solid return to the top division after their lengthy absence from the Veikkausliiga. They recorded four wins during the opening stretch of the season, but their recent form has been rather abysmal, with TPS suffering four defeats in their last five matches since mid-May. 

Ivan Pinol Zoroa’s men have struggled on the road, collecting only a handful of points and averaging fewer than one goal per away match. Their last away victory across all competitions came nearly two months ago in the Suomen Cup, when they beat SalPa on penalties. 

Like Lahti, TPS appear set to have a largely healthy squad available, with no significant injury absences reported at the time of writing. The Greek forward Theodoros Tsirigotis has been the focal point of TPS’s attack this season, having scored three goals in eight league appearances.
