The hosts edged a thrilling high-scoring home win against Viking on Friday, while Lille secured a narrow one-goal success against Lens in the Derby du Nord.

Bodo have already beaten Borussia Dortmund at Aspmyra this season, and will be confident against a Lille said yet to pick up a point in the Champions League, league phase.

Bodo/Glimt

Bodo Glimt team overview

Bodo Glimt return to home action after securing an important 3:2 victory against Eliteserien title rivals Viking on Friday evening.

An early own goal from Henrik Falchener and an Andreas Helmersen strike put the hosts two goals ahead, but Viking responded through Kristoffer Haugen and Erik Botheim.

Jens Petter Hauge restored Bodo's lead in the 43rd minute, and Kjetil Knutsen's men held on to claim three crucial points in a lively encounter at Aspmyra.

Friday's victory saw Glimt move level with league leaders Viking on 59 points from 25 matches. The hosts have been in strong form this season, claiming 19 wins, two draws and only four defeats while scoring 61 goals in the process.

In the Champions League, Bodo slipped to a remarkable 4:3 defeat at Napoli in their previous league-phase outing, despite an impressive attacking performance in Italy.

The Norwegians had secured an excellent 1:0 home victory against Borussia Dortmund in their previous UCL runout.

Past home results in European competitions should give Bodo/Glimt plenty of confidence this week.

Kjetil Knutsen's side have claimed famous victories at Aspmyra against Manchester City, Inter Milan and Sporting CP in the past year, having also beaten Porto, Olympiacos and Lazio during the 2024/25 campaign.

They now come into their fourth league phase fixture of this season's competition with three points picked up from three league-phase matches, having also suffered a 5:0 defeat at Bayern Munich.

Knutsen has several injury concerns ahead of Tuesday's contest. Hakon Evjen, August Mikkelsen and Magnus Riisnaes are expected to remain unavailable.

Lille

Lille team overview

Lille make the long trip to Norway after securing a hard-fought 1:0 home victory against local rivals Lens on Friday evening.

Olivier Giroud scored the only goal in the 87th minute, converting after goalkeeper Robin Risser had parried a long-range effort from Nabil Bentaleb.

Davide Ancelotti's side dominated the contest, recording 16 shots and seven attempts on target as they claimed the bragging rights in the Derby du Nord.

Friday's win followed successive 1:1 league draws against Monaco and Brest. Lille are now unbeaten in four domestic fixtures, winning two and drawing twice.

Les Dogues have been strong in domestic fixtures, and currently sit second in Ligue 1 with 18 points from nine games.

Lille's Champions League form has been far less impressive. The visitors lost 3:2 at home to Real Betis, 3:0 away at Arsenal and 4:2 at home to Galatasaray.

Ancelotti's men now face their fourth fixture of the campaign still searching for their first point.

Lille have several selection problems. Hamza Igamane, Ayase Ueda and Tiago Santos miss out with various injury issues, while Ethan Mbappe is suspended.

Veteran forward Giroud is pushing for a start after his derby winner.

Prediction

Bodo have enjoyed some memorable European nights at Aspmyra and will be confident after beating Borussia Dortmund and Viking in recent home fixtures.

Lille are performing well domestically, but their European form has been poor.

I have my stake on a home win on Tuesday.

Three Reasons Why We Expect Bodo Glimt to Win

  1. Bodo Glimt won 4 of their last 5 home matches (all competitions)
  2. Bodo Glimt beat Borussia Dortmund 1:0 in their last Champions League home fixture
