Atalanta vs Parma prediction 02.11.2026 | Serie A

Atalanta had a minor setback last season in Serie A, finishing 7th, barely securing a spot in Europe. This season, popular La Dea opened well in the first four games across competitions. However, since then, their performances have dropped massively, and they are not even remotely as good as expected. Their defensive performances have been particularly worrying. At the moment, they are in 12th place with 11 points. Incredibly, they are six points from Europe but also from the danger zone! That is probably something very few football pundits expected before the start of the season. 

A big part of Atalanta's problems are injuries. Three central backs (Hien, Kossounou, and Kolasinac) are out, and now another one, Thomas Kristensen, has suffered an injury and will be sidelined. That will mean Relja Obric from the U23 squad will get the opportunity to start alongside Giorgio Scalvini. Additionally, Raoul Bellanova, Franck Kessie, Giacomo Raspadori, and Gianluca Scamacca should remain sidelined with their injuries. 

Parma finished 13th last season, fairly easily securing survival. However, this season doesn't look easy, as they won just five points in nine rounds while scoring five goals! Their offensive record has been atrocious, but the game against injury-affected Atalanta could be an opportunity to get on the scoresheet. With a positive result here, Parma could escape the danger zone, at least temporarily. But that won't be easy given the fact that they lost all four road games this season.

Interestingly, the club tried to change the negative momentum by replacing the coach. They added Alberto Gilardino, but that did not pay off since they won one point in four rounds! 

When it comes to injuries, the team should have no new ones, but Nesta Elphege and Lautaro Valenti should remain sidelined. Also, El Bilal Touré is on a loan deal from Atalanta and should be unavailable.
