Southampton 2-0 Cardiff City

Dimitrios Goutas once again led the defense for 90 minutes. Although not his best performance, he registered 86% accurate passes and 100% tackles won. Four blocks and three clearances also stand out.

Stuart Armstrong scored a brace for Southampton to put the game in the bag. Two rapid fire goals with only four minutes in between meant Southampton took all three points.

HIGHLIGHTS: Southampton 2-0 Cardiff City | Championship

Swansea City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

Jacob Chapman was on the bench and did not come on in today’s match. An early own goal from Cabango meant Huddersfield were on course to win the match. On-loan Arsenal boy Patino found the net in injury time to rescue a point for the Welshmen.

Huddersfield head coach Darren Moore:

Performances have been more solid and resolute. They're staying in the game longer and being harder to beat. We know we're still short in areas. We know there's a progress going on at the moment at the football club, both on and off the pitch. We need to keep focused and keep churning away and getting those points on the board. It would have been great to take the three points today but when we look at the course of the week, to take five points out of those games is credit to the team.

What next?

Liam Palmer’s Sheffield Wednesday will look to continue winning ways, Jacob Chapman and Huddersfield face a tough test, Lewis Travis will return, and Goutas looks to have better days ahead.

Super Saturday is looming on the 9th December! Sheffield Wednesday will face Stoke, Blackburn will play Leeds, Huddersfield welcome Bristol City, and Cardiff will hope to bounce back against Millwall.
