Cardiff City 0-1 Birmingham City

Goutas had a good game, having a player rating of 7.4 - creating one big chance and recording a shot on target. Unlucky during this game, Cardiff’s only conceded goal meant they would go on to lose to a solid Birmingham City.

Juninho Bacuna scored Birmingham’s only goal. The loss means Cardiff take a dash to their promotion hopes.

Huddersfield 1-3 Preston North End

Danny Ward scored Huddersfield’s only goal in their 3-1 loss to Preston. An early goal from Alan Browne meant Preston had the Yorkshire side on the backfoot only three minutes in. With another goal added by Keane in the 39th, Huddersfield could only add a consolation.

Huddersfield’s problems mean they remain 21st in the league, only two points clear from relegation-bound QPR.

Huddersfield head coach Darren Moore:

We were not good enough. The performance wasn't what we wanted or expected. If the performance isn't there, you can't expect to win games. It serves as a reminder for us that we cannot perform like that and expect to get anything out of the game. That is me as a manager being honest. We know at Huddersfield Town we can't approach any games and be off the pace or the tempo. We know in order to win games and get results then we have got to get everything right.

What next?

Blackburn Rovers will travel to St. Mary’s to face off with Southampton on the 16th December. On the same day, Huddersfield Town face off with Millwall - we hope to see Jacob Chapman feature in the squad. Cardiff travel to Hull and hope to pick up points, while Sheffield Wednesday will search for more wins against QPR. Dimitrios Goutas will look to continue his good form, and Liam Palmer may be part of the starting XI once more.
