Ousmane Dembélé – odds 1.44
The French striker is the clear favourite ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. His Paris Sent-Germaint won the Ligue 1 and the French Cup last season and finally celebrated success in the UEFA Champions League, where they demolished Inter Milan 5-0 in the final. While Dembélé couldn't win the UEFA Nations League with France, claiming bronze, he can win another trophy with PSG this Summer, and it's hard to see someone leapfrogging him. One last thing to mention - the odds of him winning the Ballon d'Or were 7.14 in April.
Lamine Yamal – odds 2.75
As the odds suggest, the FC Barcelona prodigy is the only real rival of Dembélé. He helped the Catalonian club to win La Liga and Copa del Rey, but they lost to Inter in the Champions League semifinals. Yamal also couldn't win the UEFA Nations League, as Portugal defeated Spain in the final on penalties. Given that he is still only 17, and Barcelona are not playing at the FIFA Club World Cup, it's hard to see Yamal overcoming Dembélé.
Vitinha – odds 13.00
The last contender worth mentioning is another PSG player, Vitinha. The midfielder won four trophies this season, helping Portugal to triumph in the UEFA Nations League. If PSG can win the FIFA Club World Cup with Vitinha shining in the process, his chances of claiming the Ballon d'Or would increase significantly. However, as Vitinha doesn't score many goals, we really doubt he'll be a real challenger to his teammate Dembélé.
