VJS vs TPV prediction 29.06.2026 | Ykkonen

Last season, VJS played in the lower tier of Finnish football, and their primary goal after promotion is to avoid relegation. VJS started the 2026 season well, but although they slowed down recently, the team from Vantaa is still a solid six points above the drop zone. VJS are winless in the last four matches in all competitions. In the previous game, they lost 2-0 at home against Rovaniemi. The hosts ended with 72% ball possession and had more shots on goal than the guests, but their uncharacteristically poor efficiency cost them points. 

For most of the season, VJS were excellent offensively. However, they have recently struggled on defense, costing them too many points. VJS conceded 10 goals in the last four matches and will have to improve if they don't want to be part of the relegation dogfight. 

VJS are a solid at home in Vantaa. They have a 2-2-1 and a 9:5 goal difference at Myyrmaen jalkapallostadion. 

TPV are another team that played in Kakkonen last season. However, unlike VJS, TPV are one of the worst in Ykkonen, collecting only seven points in 11 league matches. The only one worse than them so far is KVP Kokkola with two fewer points. TPV have been terrible lately, with 11 straight games without a victory in all competitions. In the most recent outing, Sebastian Bowles' team played 2-2 on the road against Keski-Uusimaa. That was one of the best TPV performances lately, as they had a 2-0 lead and were close to all three points. Maybe a game like that will help Bowles' team restore some confidence. 

At the same time, TPV are the second-worst attacking team in the competition and the third-worst defensive team in Ykkonen. They have to make many changes during the upcoming transfer period to have a realistic chance of avoiding relegation. 

One of the reasons for TPV's position in the standings is also their terrible road record. They have a 0-1-4 away from home.
