Venezia vs Palermo prediction 08.05.2026 | Serie B

Promotion is already wrapped up for Venezia, which, I suppose, changes the mood a bit. Four points clear of third means Friday’s result won’t derail their Serie A return.

Still, Giovanni Stroppa’s side doesn’t really strike you as one that coasts. Thirteen games unbeaten, eight wins in that run, that’s not an accident.

At home, it’s even more striking. Fifteen wins from the last sixteen at Pier Luigi Penzo, which is well, pretty close to dominance. John Yeboah has been central to that, with 10 goals and 8 assists, often drifting into spaces defenders don’t track well.

Then there’s Andrea Adorante, sitting on 17 league goals. The two link up naturally, and you’d expect them to start, probing Palermo’s back line early.

Palermo, to be fair, aren’t limping into this. Last week’s 3–2 comeback against Catanzaro stretched the run to seven unbeaten, which sounds solid, and it mostly is.

Three wins in that stretch feels respectable, though only one came away from home. That’s the slight concern. Recent trips haven’t been convincing, just two wins from the last seven on the road.

Joel Pohjanpalo still carries the attack. He grabbed a late penalty in that last match, pushing his numbers to 24 goals and 7 assists, which is hard to ignore.

Inzaghi’s side, meanwhile, have no suspensions or injuries to juggle. So, at least on paper, everything is in place.
