Tunisia suffered an atrocious 5:1 loss to Sweden. They looked totally confused, made unforgivable errors, and were probably the biggest disappointment of the tournament. Having watched the game, we can safely say they can be happy that Sweden did not score a couple of more goals. Also, goalkeeper Abdelmouhib Chamakh was atrocious, and it will be interesting to see whether he can bounce back, but we highly doubt it. 

That massive loss forced the Tunisian FA to sack coach Sabri Lamouchi and appoint Herve Renard as the new head coach. In his first interview, the Frenchman said he didn't hesitate for a second when Tunisia contacted him. The coach added that it will be a motivating challenge and that his main task is to restore confidence after a defeat.

On the other hand, Japan opened the tournament well. It was a 2:2 with the Netherlands, but in a game where they were the underdogs and can probably be satisfied. We believe they are much better than the bookies give them credit and have shown just how good they are collectively. However, it seems they are the best when forced to open, and we believe they will have to go for all three points against Tunisia. But that strong performance isn't a surprise, considering they won six straight friendlies before the WC and beat some excellent teams like Brazil, England, and Scotland. 

In the match against the Netherlands, Takefusa Kubo suffered an injury and was forced to leave the field after 75 minutes. According to credible sources, the 25-year-old Kubo will most likely miss the upcoming game. It is a big blow for Japan, considering they have already missed a few key players due to injuries - Kaoru Mitoma, Takumi Minamino, and Wataru Endo.
