Sweden vs Tunisia prediction 15.06.2026 | World Cup

Sweden were terrible in the World Cup qualifications with only two points in six matches. However, they found their way into the playoffs via the Nations League and will return to football's biggest stage after missing out on the previous tournament. Sweden struggled with consistency in the last 12 months, with only two victories in the previous ten games. In the final test before the World Cup, Sweden played 2-2 at home against Greece. The hosts didn't dominate, and a draw was probably the most realistic outcome. 

Sweden's biggest weakness is their defense. Although they have made some progress since Graham Potter took over, Sweden are still conceding too many. The Blue and Yellow conceded eight goals in four matches this season. 

The offense should be a better part of Graham Potter's team. However, the head coach will have big problems incorporating the two biggest stars in the starting lineup, Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres. Sweden usually played in a 3-4-2-1 under Potter, but now they might switch to a 3-5-2 or something similar to find a place for both strikers. 

The tournament in the USA, Mexico, and Canada will be the sixth in Tunisia's history. Interestingly, they never progressed to the next phase, and the upcoming tournament will likely be no different. Tunisia cruised through the qualifying group, but since then, in the African Cup of Nations and in friendly matches, the Eagles of Carthage haven't played well. Tunisia won only once in the last seven matches. In the most recent outing, they lost 5-0 against Belgium. 

Tunisia have big problems in defense. In the qualifications, their high pressing didn't look good, and at the World Cup, in stronger competition, it could create too many opportunities for opponents. Tunisia conceded at least one goal in seven of the last nine matches, and their defense will be a real challenge against Sweden's world-class attack. 

Offensively, Tunisia are using their wings a lot. In midfield, they lack creation, but are very good at fast transition, and that is something they will try to exploit.
