Slavia have been in excellent domestic form, but Arsenal will be expected to maintain winning form in the Czech capital.

Slavia Prague and Arsenal have met three times in competitive fixtures since the start of 2020. Arsenal won two games while one match finished level.

The Gunners claimed a 3:0 victory in their most recent meeting in Prague in November 2025, after winning 4:0 at the same venue in April 2021.

Slavia Prague team overview

Slavia return to home action after securing an emphatic 5:0 victory against Jablonec in the Czech First League on Saturday.

Mubarak Suleiman scored twice, while Emmanuel Ayaosi, Ange N'Guessan and Danijel Sturm were also on target in an impressive away performance.

Saturday's victory followed a similarly dominant 4:0 home success against Zbrojovka Brno in the Czech Cup.

Before those big victories, Slavia had failed to win each of four previous fixtures, including both of their last two UCL fixtures.

While unbeaten in the Czech First League after 13 matches, European performances have been far less convincing. The Czech side lost 3:2 at home to Lens and 2:0 away to Sabah in their opening two league-phase games.

Slavia then collected their first Champions League point of the season in a 2:2 draw at Fenerbahce on Matchday 3.

A dismal record in this competition has seen the Prague side fail to win any of their last 22 UCL league phase fixtures. They also failed to win any of their previous nine home European fixtures, recording four draws and five defeats in that period.

Head coach Trpisovsky has several selection issues this week. Lukas Provod missed the win at Jablonec and remains doubtful, while Ivan Schranz is likely to miss out due to illness.

Ange N'Guessan faces a late fitness test while Tomas Chory has been left out following a disciplinary incident.

Arsenal

Arsenal team overview

Arsenal make the trip to Prague after securing a vital 1:0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal in the 16th minute as Mikel Arteta's side recorded their first Premier League victory at Anfield since 2012.

A solid run of EPL form has seen the Gunners win each of their last four EPL fixtures, while they picked up a 2:2 draw against Bayern Munich in their previous UCL encounter.

The only blip in a strong rum of form was a shock penalty shootout defeat against Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup.

The Gunners have made an unbeaten start to their Champions League campaign, winning 1:0 at Napoli and 3:0 at home to Lille before their entertaining draw in Bavaria.

Arteta's men sit seventh in the UCL league-phase standings with seven points from three games.

The Gunners are unbeaten in nine away Champions League matches and have scored in each of their previous 14 European away fixtures.

Arteta also has some selection issues to deal with this week. Bukayo Saka and William Saliba remain unavailable, while Eberechi Eze is doubtful to feature.

Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Christos Tzolis and Riccardo Calafiori are available after returning to the squad in last weekend’s win at Liverpool.

Prediction

Slavia have impressed domestically, but their Champions League struggles make them difficult to back against one of Europe's most consistent away performers.

Arsenal should prove far too strong, and I expect the visitors to win by at least two clear goals.

Three Reasons Why We Expect Arsenal to win and cover AH -1.5 spread

  1. Arsenal won by more than 1 goal in 7 of their last 12 wins
  2. Arsenal won by more than 1 goal in their last 2 away matches against Slavia Prague
  3. Slavia Prague lost by more than 1 goal in 7 of their last 8 UCL defeats
