The Ekstraklasa returns on Sunday night as Radomiak Radom look to make a positive impact at Pogon Szczecin to Stadion im. Braci Czachorów in the opening weekend of the new campaign.

Radomiak come into the season with confidence after a solid end to last season and a positive head-to-head record against this weekend’s visitors. João Henriques’ side are unbeaten in eight of their last ten matches and have won their last two encounters against Pogon.

Pogon Szczecin comes into this weekend's opener still looking to shake off a patchy run of form from last season. The visitors ended the 2024–25 campaign with just four wins in their final 12 league matches. 

Their away record remains a concern, with Szczecin failing to win 13 of their last 17 league fixtures on the road. They also suffered defeats in both meetings with Radomiak last season.

With both sides carrying attacking threats, a high-scoring encounter could be on the cards. BTTS has landed in five of Radomiak’s last six matches and in three of Pogon’s last four away outings.

While it's tough to make too many clear cut predictions at the start of the campaign, I'm putting my stake on the hosts to at least avoid defeat.
