Leuven have another solid season. They qualified for the Conference League group, but the team from Heverlee never had a real chance for something more. Leuven are unlikely to improve their position in the coming weeks, and until the end of the season, they will play only for their own pride. Leuven are in terrible form with seven games in a row without a victory. In the most recent outing, Felice Mazzu's team lost 2-1 on the road against St. Liege. The hosts had significantly better goal-scoring opportunities throughout the game, and it is not surprising that the visitors ended empty-handed.

Leuven's head coach Felice Mazzu was disappointed after the defeat in the previous match. He commented, "It's exactly the same scenario as last week. We're leading at half-time, but we make the same mistakes in the second half. We've managed to keep a clean sheet until half-time in every game in these European Playoffs, but it doesn't get us anything."

Leuven have almost a full squad available. Theo Radelet could be the only one missing due to injury. Noe Dussenne has some problems, too, but he could still recover on time.

The 2025/26 season is the worst for Antwerp in almost a decade. With three games left, they are six points behind the Conference League playoff position, and it seems unlikely they could sneak into the desired spot. Antwerp's form doesn't offer much optimism either, as they have lost their last two matches. In the previous game, Joseph Oosting's team lost 1-0 at home against Charleroi. 

Antwerp's head coach, Joseph Oosting, replaced Stef Wils in December, and he may be counting his last days at Bosuil Stadium. He led Antwerp in 25 matches, won only 11, and will unlikely secure a Conference League position. However, Oosting have contract until 2028, and the board might decide to give him another chance, especially as they will already have to pay him. 

Antwerp should have all players available for the trip to Heverlee.
