JJK started the campaign at full speed with four straight victories, and for a while it looked as though Brian Page’s side might simply run away with momentum early on. Reality has slowed things down a bit since then. The Foxes are now without a win in four matches, collecting two draws and two defeats during that spell.

Still, the attacking play has not completely disappeared. JJK have scored six goals across those four games and continue creating chances even when performances feel slightly uneven. Defensively though, there have been moments where concentration drops too easily, especially late in matches when games become stretched.

Harjun stadion remains a positive factor. The Foxes are unbeaten at home this season and usually play with more confidence in front of their own supporters. Anton Aaltonen should again operate just behind Arjan Goljahanpoor, with both attackers carrying much of the creative responsibility heading into Thursday’s meeting.

OLS Oulu look genuinely serious about avoiding the kind of collapse that ruined last season’s promotion push. After such a dominant opening phase back then, falling short clearly left a mark.

This time, though, Mikko Mannila’s men seem calmer and more measured. Just one defeat in eight league games tells part of the story, but honestly, it is the balance in the squad that stands out more.

Oulun Luistinseura are not blowing teams away every week. Instead, Mannila’s side defend with patience and stay dangerous on the counter when space opens up. Still, the recent 2-1 loss to Jazz Pori probably served as a useful warning. In a league like this, momentum disappears quickly if concentration drops even slightly.

Up front, Eemeli Raittinen has been the difference-maker so far. Eight goals already is no accident. The striker looks especially dangerous during quick transitions, where one loose defensive line is often enough for him to punish opponents.
