A vital fixture in the fight to avoid relegation from the Italian top flight takes place on Sunday morning as Cremonese takes on Torino.
Cremonese come into Sunday’s Serie A contest in losing form after a road defeat at Cagliari last weekend while Torino make the trip to Cremona in high spirits after a well-deserved victory against Verona.
Torino edged to a narrow victory in the reverse meeting in Turin earlier this season, and given recent form, will fancy their chances of claiming another victory this weekend.

Cremonese and Torino have met on six occasions since 2021. Torino won three games while three matches finished deadlocked.
Cremonese team overview
Cremonese return to Stadio Giovanni Zini in losing form after a disappointing 1:0 defeat against relegation rivals Cagliari last weekend. Sebastiano Esposito’s second-half strike secured victory for the Sardinians.
A miserable run of form has seen Cremonese continue to slide in the Serie A standings. Marco Giampaolo’s side lost nine and won just one of their last 11 fixtures and now sit outside of the relegation zone on goal difference only.
Particularly poor in home fixtures, I Grigiorossi have lost each of their last three home games, while they have won just two of 15 at Stadio Giovanni Zini this season.
Defensively vulnerable, the hosts leaked two goals or more in five of their last seven games while both of their last two home fixtures finished with at least three match goals.
Head coach Giampaolo has four potential absentees this weekend. Youssef Maleh is suspended following a red card, while Jamie Vardy (muscle) is ruled out through injury, with Faris Moumbagna and Morten Thorsby will be assessed closer to kick-off.

Torino team overview
Torino make the trip to Cremona in high spirits after back-to-back Serie A victories picked-up in the past fortnight. After a narrow 1:0 win at Pisa two weeks ago, Il Toro secured a well-deserved 2:1 win against Verona last weekend.
Argentine forward Giovanni Simeone bagged the winner as he took his tally for the season to nine, before Cesare Casade’s second-half strike ensured victory for Roberto D'Aversa’s side.
An improved run of form has seen the visitors bag victories in four of their last six games, having previously won just one of seven Serie A fixtures at the turn of the year.
High-scoring outcomes have been a regular occurrence for D'Aversa’s side, with eight of ten previous fixtures finishing with at least three goals scored. On the road, only one of their last eight matches did not see over 2.5 goals scored.
Head coach D'Aversa has some selection issues this weekend. Ardian Ismajli is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards, while Duván Zapata (thigh) and Zanos Savva (cruciate ligament) are ruled out through injury, with Zakaria Aboukhlal doubtful due to a muscle issue

Prediction
Torino have been involved in several high-scoring outcomes this year, and I fancy a similar result in Sunday’s Serie A contest.
Over 2.5 goals is my best value pick at Stadio Giovanni Zini.
Three Reasons Why We Expect Over 2.5 Goals
- Torino have seen over 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 10 matches
- Torino have seen over 2.5 goals in 6 of their last 7 away matches
- Cremonese have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 2 home matches
Main prediction Cremonese - Torino
Over 2.5 goals
