Chelsea return to Premier League action after a limp 1:0 defeat in the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday. Antoine Semenyo’s cute backheel condemned the Blues to an uninspiring reversal at Wembley. 

Unable to create much in front of goal, Chelsea drew a blank for the seventh time in 11 games since mid-March. 

A miserable run of form has seen Chelsea win just two of 12 matches across all competitions, while they are winless in their last seven EPL games, with only one win in 11 league fixtures since February.

Interim boss Calum McFarlane has three confirmed absentees this week. Estêvão (hamstring), Jamie Gittens (hamstring) and Jesse Derry (head) are all ruled out through injury.

Tottenham make the trip to Stamford Bridge looking to build on a 1:1 draw against Leeds last week. A brilliant strike from Mathys Tel opened the scoring for the home side before Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s penalty rescued a point for Daniel Farke’s side. 

While still very much in relegation trouble, Spurs have improved since the appointment of former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi. Tottenham have picked up eight points while remaining unbeaten in their last four EPL fixtures. 

On the road, De Zerbi’s side have lost just one of their last four EPL matches, and now sit two points clear of West Ham. A win on Wednesday will secure safety while a draw will all but guarantee their status with a vastly superior goal difference to the Hammers. 

Head coach De Zerbi has four expected absentees for the trip to Stamford Bridge. Ben Davies (ankle) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) are ruled out through injury, while Dominic Solanke (muscle) and Guglielmo Vicario (groin) are both doubtful.
