Al Mokawloon Al Arab managed to return to the Premier League after winning the Division 2 A title last year. This year, the goal was to survive, but that wasn't going well in the first part of the season. They were winless in the first 11 games, and survival did not look too realistic. However, in the relegation Group, they started playing much better and are deservedly in 15th place - three points away from the relegation spots. They were especially good at home in the Relegation Group and have to continue with such performances. Also, after the Wadi Degla game, they will have a super important game against Kahrabaa Ismailia, which are the main contender for relegation. 

Winger Joackiam Ojera received a red card in the previous game against Haras El Hodood and will serve his one-game suspension. Moreover, left full-back Nader Hesham suffered an injury in the previous match and had to leave the field after only 15 minutes.
