- Kick-off: 17:00 UK / 18:00 CEST
- Venue: Aspmyra Stadion
Bodø/Glimt come into Saturday’s match knowing the season has started a little below expectations. Missing the title by just one point last year still hangs over the Yellow Horde, you can sense that. A few shaky displays early on only added pressure. Meanwhile, Tromsø have quietly become one of Norway’s surprise sides. The visitors look sharper and far more disciplined than many expected back in March. Even so, bookmakers still seem drawn to Bodø/Glimt’s strong record at Aspmyra.

NM Cup
These sides have met 11 times in competitive matches since 2021. Bodø/Glimt hold the slight advantage with five victories, although none came in the last three meetings. Tromsø picked up three wins themselves, while three matches ended level. Goals usually arrive in this fixture too, with an average of 3.27 per game across those encounters.
Bodø/Glimt team overview
After losing last season’s title race to Viking FK by the smallest margin possible, many expected Bodø/Glimt to start faster this year. Instead, the Yellow Horde took only 13 points from seven league games, which sounds slightly underwhelming at first. Still, three matches in hand soften the concern a bit.
At Aspmyra Stadion, though, Knutsen’s side remain dangerous. Bodø/Glimt scored at least three goals in two home wins already, and the recent Norwegian Cup victory over SK Brann probably lifted confidence inside the squad. Trophies can do that, even this early.
Kasper Høgh continues to lead the attack well. The Danish forward already has three league goals and should line up with Blomberg and Jens Petter Hauge, which feels like an awkward front three to contain. Ulrik Saltnes, however, remains sidelined with a groin injury.

Tromsø team overview
Tromsø’s rise this season has surprised plenty of people, honestly. The Boys exited the Norwegian Cup earlier than expected and finished third in 2025, so few imagined this sort of consistency in the opening weeks. Yet Jørgen Vik’s side have quietly built one of the strongest records in the league with seven wins and two draws from 10 matches.
Last weekend’s 2-0 victory over Molde felt significant as well. Tromsø had gone two games without a win before that result, therefore the response mattered. Away form has been especially impressive. The visitors remain unbeaten on the road this season with two wins and a draw from three away fixtures.
Heine Åsen Larsen has contributed three league goals and should continue in attack alongside Lars Olden Larsen. The numbers are not explosive, although Tromsø’s strength often comes from structure rather than individual brilliance.
Jesper Grundt is ruled out through injury, but there are no suspension concerns for Vik heading into this game.

Prediction
A 3-1 win at home probably says more than the table does, honestly. Bodø/Glimt have scored two or more goals in five of the last six games, and up at Aspmyra Stadion, the Yellow Horde can feel relentless. Tromsø are having a strong season, sure, but one clean sheet in nine away matches leaves questions. With Høgh in sharp form after the cup victory, Bodø/Glimt look capable of winning this with a bit to spare.
Three reasons we expect Bodo/Glim win & over 2.5 goals
- Bodo/Glimt scored at least twice in five of their last six matches.
- Tromso kept just one clean sheet in their last 9 away matches.
- Bodo/Glimt have won 8 of their last 9 home encounters.
